If the plot was a boat, it'd sink faster than the titanic. Not saying that it's a bad thing, but you've definitely left room for expansion.

So i guess both Twilight parents and brother are dead (celestia saying Twilight has no one, even if just SA is confirmed to be dead).
At least Celestia gets to play mom to some extent and keep Twilight company.
I'm guess this is post S3 and everypony Twilight knows besides her fellow immortals (except Luna) are dead. I have to admit I like this, the idea that ponies become the starts and continue to watch over the living, I like that and really sets this apart from all the other "emotality" fics that have popped up.

Seems it's actually alternate universe in which shining died at some point. Twilight's still a filly here after all. And Luna... might be dead? or just still imprisoned? Getting the feeling its the former though
As for the story, well... I'm not really sure how to feel about it lol. Mostly confusion and slight touch of sadness.
I don't much care about shining but a loss of Luna would suck alot lol

Being correct once is fine but the third time it's annoying. Yes I know it's AU, yes I know she is not an Alicorn, an full grown mare, and Luna is still in the Moon.
This was wonderfully bittersweet, and very well done.

I'd really like to get the 7 open projects I have opened and unfinished right now completed before starting something new, though.

At first I was like "wait, this doesn't work, if Twilight heard about Luna at this age then the series opener wouldn't work", but I kept reading to see if you'd accounted for that somehow... and then the AU hit, and it hit like a Mac truck full of feels.
