Twilight Sparkle has just come into her own as a princess of Equestria. Her sudden rise in status has changed her relationship with those around her, and also the nature of Equestrian politics. Can Twilight make up with her friends and harness the elements before it's too late? Or will the stress break her friendships, her country, and ultimately her? Also will anypony besides Fluttershy be able to deal with a 'reformed' Discord?

Interesting start.
There's not quite enough yet for me to say whether i'm going to truly like it or not; but you have my interest and watch.
I did particularly like Celestia and her wingblade practice.

Dunno how it will continue (you posed so many chapters at once) but I did like how you subtly accented the point that to the Saddle Arabians the sisters are Goddesses first, icons of worship, but to Equestrias they are almost Mundane, equestrians rarely take sides with the princesses because they are so familiar to them and Luna is still a mostly unknown entity. other nations don't have day to day interactions with the Princesses so some view them as mysterious goddesses in opposition and you need to pick one. I would expect eastern style philosophy to hole them more as agents of Balance, you can't support one with out supporting the other.

Context-free worldbuilding:
For any devout mage, it's not a matter of 'which princess is best'. That doesn't stop everypony else from arguing the point.
Also, you have Legiondude to thank for the spoiler tags. He just used one in another comment. I always forget that I can do this, and then I overuse it.
The Dark Tag almost put me off, till I realize this isn't a "grim/dark" story. No gore, no murder, but the potential for lots of violence. That said I am curious how the Saddle Arabians will react to the mane 6, what adjustments to alicornhood the mane 6 have yet to go though, and how each will respond to being seen as and avatar and expected to "pick a side" between the two sisters. Got a feeling no pony will pick one sister over the other and the other races might be very put off by the idea.
