Rainbow Dash has been looking forward to her first day of Cloudsdale Flight School since she was just a little filly. Now she was finally old enough! Though, when she got there, her first day was... Not quite what she expected. It wasn't as easy as flying at home. The instructors were tough on her. Her classmates were mean to her. Soon, she was starting to hate flight school. That is, until she met a certain pegasus, who helped her when she was down.
The ending of Chapter 5 has been rewritten, and I'm taking the ending of the story in a different direction than originally planned, so if you've already read it, I would suggest rereading at least the ending.

Hey everypony, I just want to let you know, the ending to chapter 5 is not in it's final state. I'm going to rewrite it, since I kind of rushed through the ending. Thats what happens when your teacher tells you to get of the computer 20 minutes before class ends.
But, anyway. Yeah, I'm going to rewrite it. Also, I'm thinking of doing a bonus chapter after I finish the primary story. Maybe Snowflake's take on all this? What do you think?

Other than that, another good chapter. You've captured Fluttershy perfectly.
Who's is Peppy? Also barrel rolls and aileron rolls are different from each other. Still a good chapter, but this sentence needs a touch up.

I do plan to eventually put in at least two more chapters. One to finish the story, with Dash taking Fluttershy home and their first flight lesson, and then a bonus chapter showing parts of it from a certain muscular ponies point of view. I haven't been able to get to it yet because of 1) dang writers block, and 2) I'm working with a couple of other people on another story, and that's taking a lot of time.
That being said, what other things could I expand upon? I'm always open to ideas
2541517 Well, just more adventures in flight school that span more than one day, more troubles with the bullies, an origin on how Derpy's eyes got derped, maybe include Gilda at some point. It's not like you have to expand upon things like this, I just think it would be cool to. But that's your choice. Either way MUSTACHES!
