Grapevine Hills Vineyard and Winery is one of the greatest vineyards in all of Equestria. However, it has recently become the site of three murders, all apparently happened at the same time. The current detective on the case believes the owner Sour Grapes to be responsible for their deaths. But Private Eye has his suspicions about the whole case. What follows is conspiracy, cover ups, a secret the owner is keeping from her fellow workers, and a feud that goes back to before Private was even born. Private will need all the help he can get to solve this case. Luckily, Sour Grapes is quick to provide.
This story is a crossover between Equestria Noir and The Sour Grapes Chronicles

Thatcher clear greased a few hooves to become a detective in the first place. i say this because he first forms an opinion and then constructs his investigation to get the answers he want to have. i wise detective would avoid this, but a pompous, racist ass like Thatcher appears to be would revel in that kind of thing...
2406529Not all detectives have the client's best interests in mind. Thatcher and Vegas are prime examples of that. This is the kind of world Private left behind. This is another prime reason why he left the force in the first place. Too many cops on it want to just get a case done as fast as possible. They don't care if a suspect is innocent so long as they have a suspect.

Aww bloody hell... Looks like some of my earlier thoughts were proven wrong.
But I was expecting a tiny bit of Grape of hiding something, now that that's out in the open. The one thing that bugs me is the masked pony, most unicorns come from canterlot and the voice would match. But I feel something is not right about that. 
With all of this going on, I think I may need to actualy make my own conspiracy board, or I could just wait for the next chapter.

I actualy liked the show myself.
It's so exciting to see what Private would do next, and how the case will play out. Now being a fan of this, I may try a hoof at writing a detective story. Probably won't happen for a while until I finish my first story though.
hmmmn, i did have suspicions of both Thatcher and Pave doing something...Pave definitely after the attempted kidnapping, the broach with the family crest was a dead giveaway. thatcher was something of a surprise though...
