Trouble is brewing, and Spider-Man is summoned to save the day! However, he takes the form of a pony upon his arrival and slowly starts to lose his powers. Now as Peter Pony Parker, he must become Equestria's new hero as the Amazing Spider-Mane, but with past failures haunting his mind, will somepony be able to give him the happiness he deserves?

At first I thought this was a humorous troll fic based on spiderman hijacks in pony-related threads. What I found was a story that stands on its own merits. One of the best crossover stories I've read so far. Looking forward to more.

The strain of trying to carry the weight of a heavy world, huh? I'm so confused trying to decide who Petey is falling for, but if you do multiple pairings I'm cool with that. Although I'm really nervous as to how twilight is going to resolve the self conflict with peter.

That said, there is not a whole lot to say about this chapter because it is mostly a transition to the Gala which should be hilarious, but it will be interesting to see how Trixie fits in now that she can potentially link Peter's two identities. It will also be interesting to see what happens with the others reaction when they learn about her poverty because it kind of is their fault.
Guys, he wasn't dead or on a hiatus. He was actually writing a spin-off to this called "Limitless Hearts", which I very much suggest reading.
I'm mentioning it because I don't think it got as much attention from the readers of Spiders and Magic as it should have.

Okay, for those wondering what the changes to the story are...
1.) The name change. It's small, but Spider-Mane will be our hero's name. I just felt Spider-Pony was tacked on. 
2.) The seventh Element of Harmony is dropped. Yeah. This had to be done. I started this story last October (back when I was NEW to the fandom). Once I saw how cliche' a seventh element really was, I just decided to delete the idea entirely. This is fine by me since it gives me more opportunities to make Pete's life a living heck. 
3.) Lyra is a... paranoid stalker now. I've learned that Lyra has a thing for humans, so the idea of her accusing Spider-Mane ever-so-often of being a human (when he rightfully is) just seemed too good to ignore. 
4.) Pictures will added every now and then. As you see, some chapters will include pictures now. Once I get my own scanner, I'll actually starting adding pictures of Peter Pony Parker (Spider-Mane) soon as well.

Adding pics is a good idea. Trixie´s expression is just what I imagined.
I´m glad that you´ll use Lyra in some way too. Humans are her topic of interest. The moment Peter does or says anything human-related, our dear Lyra Heartstrings will be there with lots of questions. Or viceversa if Peter catches her sitting in her special way.
I found a little mistake. Line: "...but she failed to mentioned what happened to the book." The change would be: "...but she failed to mention what happened to the book." The reason is that fail is already past tense.
This gala will be full of surprises. Peter will look good in that tux Rarity made.

His thoughts ran while he forced himself back up. Being the leader of the Crusaders gave Peter the chance to come up with a catchphrase for his new team. His eyes widened when an idea came into mind, but he groaned inwardly, knowing it was too cheesy to pull off with a straight face. The image of Scootaloo wielding a magic hammer, Applebloom wearing a suit of armor, and Sweetie Belle being an unusual shade of green while Peter carried a shield played throughout his mind.“Crusaders! Assemble!”

Time for some Lyrabuse?
Hi, ready to leave my review.
Found a couple of minor mistakes. First: "Perhaps it was time her friends learned he truth about the book." It should say "learned the truth".
Second: "both Rarity's and Twilight's jaw nearly landed on the ground", I think it should have "jaws" since it´s plural.
Now for the story. The Parker charm strikes again and I can´t blame the ladies. Each reaction was very well done. It´s good to watch how all characters interact. Peter is viewing the girls in a new light too, it seems. Good. Pinkie is so random sometimes, always being excited about something.
And now we have Trixie, Lyra and Luna in the picture. This should be cool considering their different personalities. Trixie and her ego, Lyra being as hyperactive as Pinkie, and Luna with her royal manners. Who will fall for our hero?
Will Trixie try to blackmail Peter? He could deny being Spider-Mane but I don´t know if it would work. Trixie only wants money (or fame) but she´s not so bad.
Luna could remind Peter of how Thor speaks or something. They have sad past moments and are adapting to a new world.
Did Lyra get invited to play at the gala? She must be a good musician (friend of Octavia perhaps?). Now she is looking for both Spider-Mane and the mystery stallion. She´s very excited about humans so this should be good.
Suggestions:
-Peter and the Crusaders on a silly adventure (Daring Do style)
-Luna (or Celestia) testing Peter´s abilities
-Peter looking for a job
-Meeting family members from any of the girls
-Dancing lessons for Pete
-Spider-Mane and Mare Do Well team up to save the day (a dream perhaps?)

awwwwww shit!
Well Batman isn't really IN the Marvel universe, unless he is a fictional character there. That would be kind of odd though, given the abundance of "real life" heroes and gods running about.
I find it a bit unsettling that everyone finds no real fault in sharing Peter's secrets without him knowing that they are basically privy to his personal business.
Just seems like a bit of an invasion of privacy to me.
