It's been thirteen long chapters a relatively short journey compared to most others. In quite a few of you I've changed your perspective on this little filly with this story. I'm kinda flattered really. I never thought this would blow up like it did.
Heck, thanks to Kibby who did a few pictures for me, which I would post here, but they aren't in PNG format so, I can't. I DO recommend you check his deviant art gallery and watch him! (If you have deviantart, if not make one!) The guy is VERY talented, I hve had the pleasure of even watch him livestream from time to time.

First up is My friendly rival, Scarlett! Go and read Facets and Flaws! Though unaware, Scarlett has offered healthy compettition for me in the way Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara are portrayed, I won't say anymore because it's a great read and I don't want to spoil it!

I never would have thought that would have been in the realm of possibility for me, but his tutilage saw to that! Over 65k within a few months, featured on EqD and various other places on the web. I can't thank him or any of the others enough for all this and the source of pride I kinda drew from him as he is my idol.
And to every tracker, reader, faver. ANYPONY that stuck reading this through from get go. (Too many to mention) It'll probably be awhile before I dole anything out. But, you best believe it'll deal with my darling filly, Silver Spoon. And the many happenings that life may thrust in her direction along with Twist, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo.

This has been a good story, and I'm sorry to see it end. But at least it was on a good note, with Silver Spoon having a good time with her friends, and a little bit of hope for Diamond Tiara.
i only wish i was as good at this writing thing as you, thanks for uploading such a good story, it was a nice slice of life and good on those days i felt down, keep it up.

I've really been enjoying the story a lot, but i felt that the last chapter was a tad bit..rushed. As in, it felt a bit too barren. Just saying.
Ah, so you did have someone else to take over for me. I only edited the first half of this. And NO! Don't recommend me! Not right now! My life has been consumed by Star Wars The Old Republic! I'll never get around to editing anything in any reasonable amount of time now! Curse you Bioware!
Now. Overall story thoughts and review.
This is definitely among the better fanfics I've read, and no Hollyfern, I'm not just saying that because we're friends. If this was a book, I'd buy it in paperback. However, it's far too short to be a proper book, unless you use 72 point font. This isn't really a problem though, because as far as the premise and general story is, this is a good length. Long enough to read through in a couple sittings, but short enough to not feel like it's being dragged out.
Your cover art is good. Not "Ooo look at me I'm special". This doesn't need super special movie-poster style cover art. This isn't the right sort of story for that.
You very much live up to that [Slice of Life] tag up there. I feel like Moving On could easily be happening within the show itself, probably as a sub-plot arc that shows up in CMC episodes. That is very good. There are very few authors I've read that can give a story that "In Universe", that "Could easily be canon" feel. I'd namedrop a few biggies, but that'd stroke your ego far too much, and I'm not comfortable stroking another man so intensely in such a manner. Suffice it to say, Moving On is post-show Canon to me; meaning that after the show is all well and done-with, this happens in my head-canon. That's a grand total of seven stories that I can think of off the top of my head that I've done that with. One is Fallout Equestria. Two is Project Horizons. Three is Allegrezza. Four is (A slightly modified) Two's Company. Five is Moving On. Six is The Severing, and Seven is The Reconnection. The Severing and Reconnection are only there to serve the purpose of allowing each and every possible story ever. I'm quite sure you've heard of the rest.
Now, on to the things I didn't like.

I can't think of any. No. Really. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anything I did not like about this. I'd have to go back and reread and take notes and write stuff down but that takes effort and I am lazy.
OH. RIGHT.
Don't give me credit for things I didn't edit. Past what, four? Five? Maybe Six? it wasn't me.
Anyway, well done. You've vastly improved from when I first met you, even going so far as the student surpassing the master. That's probably mostly Ponyman's work (He's "The Gandalf to your Frodo"), but I like to think I also helped somehow.

SS and DT may be apart for now, but both of them are still living their lifes to the fullest with the help of their new friends. Bittersweet, but it fit the spirit of the fic, and perhaps their paths may cross again someday.
Do you have any plan on writing anything more on this continuity?

I personally like how you left it open to imagination in the end, but I would enjoy a sequel that shows how Diamond Tiara came to decide to open up (If she did?) and the personality of her friends. Possibly ending with Silver Spoon's and Diamond Tiara's 'crew' meeting? But either way, great, great, great!

I really enjoyed this. You turned a thoroughly dislikeable character into someone I don't mind reading about. I'm looking forward to reading anything else you put up, if you end up writing anymore.
Loved Silver Spoon's metamorphosis. And I loved the way you ended the story... it didn't need to be some big bangup cliche of Diamond Tiara suddenly amazingly opening up to the magic of friendship and bawling in Silver Spoon's mane before running around being buddy-buddy with the CMC. While I kind of hate the thought of Tiara being redeemed, the way you did it was perfect, like she's taking her own first steps towards becoming a better pony out there on her own, without relying on anypony else who knew better.
It's deeper that way. If anyone disagrees, come at me filly.

Yeah, I mean... You spend a lot of time building up to the confrontation between Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara, it happens, its attempted to be resolved... And then we only learn about that in a line or two, fast forward two months and we find out that apparently Diamond and Silver haven't spoken at all in that time. And furthermore, DIamond now has new friends and she chooses to favour those over Silver. I mean... Like I said, does that mean they have grown apart? And why is Silver so fine with that? She was devastated two months before, then she gets that news and its the first time (presumably) she hears from Diamond in all that time... I mean, sure, I understand she achieved what she wanted, and that Diamond has grown and all that, but... It just seems odd.
Also, nagging at the back of my mind, you hint at Diamond having some kind of emotional issue or something which Diamond knows about, and is the reason why she acts like she does. And that's never addressed again either. Or maybe it was explained in an earlier chapter? If so I apologize, but I don't recall that being explained.
I don't know... I guess I was expecting Diamond to become a friend of the Crusaders too. Or at least to have an ending where she and Silver were still BFF's. And I just don't get the sense that that is what happened. *Shrugs*
Just personal frustration maybe.

Let me being with the end, the fact that Diamond Tiara didn't show; to Silvy means one of two things: Diamond Tiara doesn't want to see her, or Diamond Tiara is taking her first steps to changing. The optimist in Silvy chooses the latter, which, sure bothers her but she knows its good that Diamond Tiara is making friends. And you must try to remember a time when you yourself was that young and around friends. Two months go by in the blink of an eye. The major difference now, in Silvy's life is that she has friends to share her time with and the knowledge and comfort that comes with having friends. The fact that I didn't explain much what happened to Dia must mean something now doesn't it?

Not the ending I was expecting, but it makes an awful lot of sense! Diamond Tiara has to move on and find a way to become a better pony than she has been. I do love the way Silver Spoon has grown as well, and it's always good to see the Crusaders making Ponyville a better place through friendship. I'm really glad I followed this story - it's been wonderful.

Alright, I'm a little late on reading this but me schedule wouldn't allow it until now, sorry.
Now first off, this is slice of life of the highest order. This really is my go to fic if somepony wants to read some SoL.
Like Psy said, this has become headcanon for me, alongside Junior Speedsters Forever, and FoE of course.
Ending a story is very very hard (I know because I messed up the ending to my fic) and you did it quite well. It didn't feel like it slowed down over the end, but it still worked and left me feeling satasfied, so props for that.
I'm sorry I didn't help more. I would've looked at more of the google docs, but like I said before, my schedule is a malevolent creature that wants me stresses and behind on work.
Good job on everything, I'll be reading whatever you write next.
P.S. I loved the chapter of the spin off thing you sent me. It's SO AWESOME

This was a well done story and I loved it but I don't really have specific comments, honestly I should have waited for tomorrow cause now I'm only gonna get 4 hours of sleep before work, ah well it was worth it.

Ok, now that I've managed to make it all the way through this fanfic, I can honestly say that it didn't feel like I was reading a story, it felt like I was watching an episode, a damn good episode. I hope that something like this actually happens in the show. It feels so, realistic, it draws the reader in and holds on to them, not going too fast, nor too slow, but more like the perfect pace.
This was beautiful, and I do hope a sequel is made.
