Pinkie Pie is haunted by feelings of self-hatred, stemming from the day she left her family to be on her own. Anyways, nice take off of Pinkie's history... think this story is gonna hinge on how you portray the parents though.

That was truly an amazing story! I have only one thing to say: please don't give up or quit on us! I've seen many a good story die when a writer gives up on the story, and I will not allow an incredible story to die without a fight. Now that that's out of the way, keep up the good work! Also, any idea when part 2 will be out?

As for Chapter 2, I'm probably a little over halfway done with it. If my muse triggers just right, I could very well complete it tomorrow or within the week.
This is absolutely amazing, and so beautiful. You're sticking true to both ponies' elements (Rainbow especially at the end) and you're putting your own beautiful flair into the mix, as well as such a good plot-line. I can't wait to read more of it, it's so heartwarming.
That was a great follow up to the last chapter, I especially loved the "piggy pie" segment; it made me laugh.
I loved the homecoming and how Pinkie's parents turned out to be regretful and accepting, especially of her and Dash's relationship. The history was well put together and I can't wait for the next installment. I know this review isn't as detailed but I don't want to repeat the same points over and over with each chapter's review.
I can barely wait for the next chapter. I do find a lot of stories, some of them are romance, but they mostly either are too much romance or don't update often enough. This one is a great balance between romance and the other emotional stuff that you rarely ever find!
This one will never update often enough! Not that I mind, though, as long as the chapters are high quality (this one being even better than the last one).
Great update as I am really amaze at how in-depth this story is at the life of Pinkie Pie.
I do wonder if her sisters will be making appearance in this tale as it progress ? 
Please do keep up the good work upon such a great storyline like this one as I found this to be a great read.

Of course the sisters are coming! Do you really think I'd leave them out? ;) The next two chapters are dedicated to them.
Ick. Sorry about that. ^^; Like I said in the author's note, writing is a slow, careful process with me. But you can't argue with the results, I guess.
Awww... well...no tears for me. Copious amounts of daww, but mine eyes remain dry.
Oddly enough, I think the strongest part might've come after the emotional part when we got to witness this little family reunion at its best and without the tears. Just the normal parts were... I dunno... a relief maybe. I'm glad that the parents didn't turn out to be monsters, bigoted or really even all that defective in terms of parenting... though there is the lingering question of exactly why Pinkie bailed... feels like that may be more complicated than what we've got so far (or maybe I'm pining for mystery or something, who knows at this time of night/morning).
Anyways... if I was going to crit anything... well, some of the dialogue seems to slip. Nothing consistently off, but sometimes there'll just be a word or expression that seems off. There's a few typos and such as well, but, again, nothing too bad ("...he raised his head to look at the two, calm azure eyes focusing on Pinkie" for example).
So, yeah, solid story still. Definitely wanna see where you go with the sisters... especially since, given what's established, you may not have any limits there.... save perhaps for the limits established by drama. Gotta have something move that needle, right?

I've only read a few MLP fics so far, but of all the ones I've read yours happens to be the most unique in my eyes! Something about this story line has me hooked to the point I want to see it all the way to the end. I truly thought it was going to be a simple plot line but I see that you diving into Pinkie's past in combination with the state of her family makes this story much more complex.
All in all, superb!
Dash singing "Giggle at the Ghosties" to Pinkie Pie is, hooves down, the cutest Rainbow Pie moment in the fandom that I've ever encountered. Never, ever fails to make me smile.
Lookin' forward to reading chapter 3, whenever you have time to write and post it. :)
Very nice update. I am loving the direction this story is taking. Pinkie's interactions with her sister and Dash just seem... believable within the style of the show, which is something you should be commended for. (A sentiment that I would actually extend to this whole story.)
One small thing, however: Then ,ever since this whole... relationship thing started, you and I have mostly just been having more fun together than before.
But apart from that, I look forward to the next instalment. Keep up the great work!

I loved the new chapter, Pinkie seeing her sister again and showing just how much her leaving affected all of them.
I can't wait to see the next chapter and to see what Margaret is up to.
Personally I'm hoping that Pinkie and Dash's relationship evolves as this story goes on, I like it where it is but that's just my thoughts.
This, plus "This story is bucking awsome!" just about sums up my opinion on the subject. 
That said, there IS something I would like to know. Namely, about how long of a story are we looking at here? One more chapter for the last Pie sister, plus epilog? Longer?
I find myself re-reading from the first chapter every time I see an update. Either that says you're that good of an author or your updates take too long!
Joking aside, truly heartwarming story. Felt a little choked up at the end there.
Call it morbid curiosity, but I'm looking forward to witnessing the impact Pinkie's disappearance caused Margaret. (Funny how you didn't call the sisters by their fanon names, by the way. Any reason for these particular names?)
Overall, can't wait for the next!
I don't use Inky and Blinky because I didn't want to use Pac-Man related names just to match with Pinkie. Although Inky is a cute name, Blinky is fucking retarded. 
Regardless, I actually did use some secondary fanon names. "Bellamina Marie Pie" is a seperate name for Blinky (I failed to reference her middle name in this chapter though, whoops), and "Maggie Pie" is a seperate name for Inky. My personal touch was taking "Maggie Pie" and expanding it into "Margaret Claire Pie" to match the fancy names her sisters have. 
Dig the parallels between Rye and Rainbow. I do wonder whether Dash and Pinkie will be able to keep their relationship a secret from any of the Pie family, as neither is what one would call a subtle pony. I like that their affection for one another is so obvious to everyone around them; that's lovely.
I have a feeling this will go into something very dangerous and dramatic, with Pinke Pie going in to save her Dashie at some point.
That would be very lovely indeed.
And when that happens... Well.
You really think that's where this is going to go? I'd hate to spoil things for you, but nah, that's not where I'm going at all. :X I think that'd require several more chapters or a sequel. There's pretty much nothing but more happiness left for this project.

But don't worry, I love this story too much to let it die. There's only a few chapters left anyway. Real life gets in the way of my writing ability, so that's why it can take me a while to update.
