I always fount the American 21 to drink law ridiculous and counterproductive, I could bet that America would have much less drunk teens if there was no such dramatization about the nonsense. Forbidden fruit and all.
From THAT universe, huh? I've read the first one, and never heard of any of the others. And I'm too lazy to read ALL of those to get the bigger picture. All I needed to get was 'portal' 'started 20 years ago' and that those two are friends to have a good enough frame. Most 'linked through portals universe' fics run just about the same in terms of everyday-type stuff.
Let's see how this one goes.

Wait, this was a one-shot. I guess just a sliver of life fic rather than a series. Okaey-dokey. In that case, review time:

That' pretty much my opinion on it. I didn't DISlike it, but it's not particularly interesting, either, it's just a story about two friends, one of which abuses the privileges his family being rich gives him, but not to some of the extremes I've heard about, and in the end the drunk rich friend makes a fool of himself when failing epically to get a one-night-stand and ends up in jail for a night. I've seen this premise in several fics, tv shows, heard about it happening to a few people I used to go to college with, and in movies, so it's nothing new to me. Personally, I think an 'Undecided' option should be available for the voting system on fics because there sometimes just are fics that you don't think are bad, but aren't particularly memorable either.
