Words are one of the most important parts of society, but what happens when words bring you nothing but pain and sadness? This is the story of the last night of Equestria's greatest writer. Tortured by his own talents, he attempts a drastic step to rid himself of the pain he carries in his heart.
Warning: Very sad. Consider getting a crying towel. Maybe two.

If this were a humanized story, one creative ending would have been that the main character has a revolver with only one round chambered.

Every few days he spins the barrel and pulls the trigger. Success depends on what you want to see happen.

Instant drama when the gun actually goes off and guy is sent to surgery.

i have only one real problem with this story. you don't give a reason why Twilight lets him walk off when he is clearly about to do something drastic. she would at least talk to him and ask if he was sure. it might seem melodramatic, but as scene where they talk and he convinces Twilight that this is what he wants would both add depth and realism to the story and serve to bring up a debate on the nature of suicide (is the protagonist a coward or a brave pony, and can suicide ever be a justifiable act or is it always better to try one more time).

I would recommend an editor for this, but aside from a few words being wrong and a very redundant sentence (Inescapable torture he couldn't escape from) good story
