There exists an hour each day that goes inexperienced by everypony. An hour where both the Sun, and Moon are silent; Where dangerous living shadows thrive. Thankfully most ponies sleep through this "Midnight Hour", protected by a coffin, and blissfully unaware that such a time even exists. However when Twilight Sparkle receives an odd magical book, she finds herself experiencing this lost hour in time night after night. With no one to go to for fear of sounding crazy Twilight must unravel the secrets of the Midnight Hour, without putting her friends in harms way. But when seemingly healthy ponies start to fall prey to a mysterious illness which renders them completely unable to function like a normal pony with an invariable link to this strange new world. It's Twilight, and her friend who takes it upon themselves to save them.

I'm going to assume that this will end the same way as P3. Too bad, the ending is what ruined it for me. If not then this could be fun to read. I've already seen a mlp adaptation of P4 that was handled really well

I know what you mean. I'm right there with you, which is why I'm not following either games as far as storyline goes. I'm using a lot of similar themes, i.e "Midnight Hour", Personas and the like. But I'm taking ideas from both and fusing them together, whether that be good or bad it remains to be seen, but I like the ideas I have at least. Never really liked it when people did cross overs and just did the storyline of one with using the characters from another. It just seems a bit uninspired to me. So while I don't want to use the word that the storyline is "unique", because I don't feel it is in a 100% literal meaning since I'm using so many things from series that are not of my own creation, it's definitely not following the P3 or P4 storyline's to a T.
I hope that makes even a lick of sense.
174140 Don't worry; I understand completely. I just saw the tower in the picture and assumed P3. To be honest i never got around to playing 3, and I'm glad; when i found out how it ends the game became worthless to me. That is not how you end a 2nd person anything, heck all Persona games have a habbit of screwing with the MC (though 1 is the black sheep of the bunch in that regard; it screws over it's MC in the sequal by making him forget the first game) but P3 is by far the worst. After reading your comment I decided to give it a go and I'm pleased to say that I enjoyed it...for a begining (though beginings are almost always boring, so i took that into acount). Based on what I've seen so far it looks like this has potential, though i wonder how the Persona system will work, Will it be like 1 where everyone can fuse and hold mutiple Personas, or like 4 where only the MC (I'll go out on a limb and say that Twilight is the closest to a MC that we'll get) can fuse, but by strenganing Slinks she can make other Personas evolve (I'm guessing this one since you said you were taking ideas from 4 and 3 (which i think works like 4 in this regard)) or do you have some new idea? 5 stars and tracked

I don't want to give to much away. But I appreciate you taking the time to read it, and I really appreciate that you took the time to comment, as well as ask questions those always are awesome to get.
Hmm, Yeah. I wish I was somewhat of a decent artist to make my own, because I have some sweet ideas that could have been the story picture. But alas I am not, and I felt the Tartarus pic fit the mood of the story pretty well, and I could not find another that fit as well as it. To be honest most of the things I'm drawing on are in the realm of P4, because it was by far my favorite of the bunch. But I feel as though the "Midnight Hour", and all it brings into play, fits much more than the "Midnight Channel" in the MLPiverse.
As to the MC, yes Twilight is going to be considered the MC. I didn't feel making my own character would have been fitting to all the ideas I have both on paper, and rattling around in my head o'mine. As to how persona's are being handled, well... here's the moment where I cop out and tell you, "To just keep reading."
175253 Well the fact that you're being so tightliped about it tells me that you indeed have original ideas, and that excites me. Also I love the "Midnight Hour" concept, since only it's name is similar to the "Midnight Hour" (as far as I can see) it's a reference at best (for now). Then there's the coffins; they have no discernible use so far but Rule of Cool has been invoked, so they're awesome. Though there are a few things that bug me; Unless it takes place in the hour right before day, the Midnight Hour is durning Luna's dominion (i think thats grammatically correct in this context) and I'm wondering if that'll ever be adressed. The there the Moon phase shadows...however you more or less dispelled that fear with your last comment, though if you do decide to use them it would be interesting to see an explnation for them (fragments of a not quite dead NM maybe). Anyway, i think I've rambled enough, i look forward to seeing where you take us on this magical adventure

1) Indeed an OC pony, just had ta do it. Naming her will happen obviously, but names don't really come up when your being chased by huge monsters in a shadow world
2) There is no nickname for her. Orpheus was the only Persona I can think of/looked up that really had a moniker to his name, so I figure it wasn't really a necessary addition (and in no way shape or form did not come about because I couldn't for the life of me think of a fitting one

@Soulwindz There might be fusing happening. However when I thought of it, instantly the whole DBZ fusion dance entered my head at the almost exact same instant, and now I can't really think of doing it in a very serious light at the moment, and so it's currently shelved lol.
@Breakfateschain Yes, it was always my intent on doing it this way, and I did think of calling the story something along the lines the whole Tensei series. But most of the stuffs coming from Persona so hence the title. Actual demons fits much better than describing entire fight sequences with changing persona's...or at least in my head it does. It also opened up a lot of potential plot lines when I toyed around with real demons versus personafied demons. So I went with the real versions.

240916 Interesting idea...but I'm not so sure; In her line of work (apple farming, duh) the raical traits of an Earth Pony are what would help her the most, she's learned to make the most of what she was born with, were she a Peguses or Unicorn (or even a Dragon), she would have an even harder time applebucking. She's also likes practical things over fun or flashy (her taste in clothing reflects this), and as I already said; being an Earth Pony is the most practical for an apple farmer. Were she in a less laber intensive line of work, your theroy would be much more likely

Because sadly I never got a chance to play that game loathe, I am to admit. I'm not sure if Cassiopeia showed up in any of the Persona games, but she is a mythological figure, so even if she hasn't it's fair game. I forget what she actually did, but I think I remember her being involved in the whole Troy incident somehow.
Oh, and of course, this is a good fic. Looks to possibly be one of the better Persona crosses I've run across.
