:rainbowlaugh: That was awesome, and hilarious! :pinkiehappy:

LOVE IT

we need more Pipsqueal/Chrysalid/Discord family moments

That title is very misleading.

2195253 Is it? Hadn't noticed...

A better version, since, ponies!

Dance, ponies, dance!:pinkiehappy:

Uhhh. This can't be coincidence, I was just watching that very video being used as the coverart.

That... that was amazing. Mostly because I love that song, that game, and have seen the video from where the picture was taken. :twilightblush:

Thanks for writing!

well.....
this is my cup of tea seeing that discord wouldn't have enough time to actually do this
with his chaos powas and stuff
(i actually listened to skrillex while reading this and it said a ton of times to drop the bass......)
so yea wubs...

Ahh.. DDR, good times. Too bad the US versions weren't as good at home, and my RedOctane pad wore out.

Ah yes Dance Dance Revolution. Just about any arcade place today will have it. :rainbowlaugh:

A comment in this area reminded me of an Offspring song "Dance Fucker Dance" was in the chorus and that person's comment brought on flashback's. This story..... gotta add it to the festering pile of pilfered Pony fiction :D Had to do alliteration :pinkiecrazy:

Ponies doing Dance Dance Revolution? That is genious! Loved the story:twilightsmile:

I have no idea what just happened here but I'm perfectly ok with this.

"Great, it's Saddle Arabia all over again..."

"You and I remember Saddle Arabia very differently..." :rainbowderp:

"I laughed, I cried; It moved me, Bob."

"DEN-OUTTADEN!!!" :pinkiecrazy:

"Yer a wizard, Flinxy" :trollestia:

seriously though, what the hell was that, and why isn't it a full-length PMV yet?? :rainbowlaugh::pinkiehappy::heart:

damn you OF and your being awesome

2195817 You see, what very little people know about me is that am -in fact- a wizard...

2195853
pffff, i knew that
kinda wish I'd thought of it a few minutes ago while i was compiling applicable quotes though...

2195817

Oh good, someone besides me watches Game Grumps here.

I just had to picture this in my mind and after wards I couldn't stop laughing! Very Nice work! :pinkiehappy:

That was amazing.

Great job!

I'm known to enjoy the shit out of Jon's laugh on occasion

all that work, all those ponies, and they got a D

epic i love it !! make moar plzz!!! well i am a ddr fan so basically this is pretty easy to imagine how they do the dance ...

I always prefered pump it up than ddr/itg

the four button interface is too easy, especially for a horse. plus you look like a yob with the straight cross pattern.

*yawn... finally read it. was not impressed.

the arcade community's behaviour, the introduction of the whole scenario and even the playing wasn't really that true to life which is what was needed to carry the fic.

plus you language really didn't put the right tone on the whole fic, as it creates an atmosphere and appeal for only more experienced arcade goers.

one of the biggest rules of fiction is that your writing should be aimed as generally as possible. Hence your language should never be specialised unless you are portraying a specialised character.

e.g. twilight explaining magic theory to no one that gets it.

That very picture for the fanfic and just the name alone remind me of Italobrothers - Stamp on the ground. Such an amazing song! They did an anime remix of different game characters playing DDR to that song. Anywho I haven't ready the fanfic yet, just about to.

2197404 Or, you know, I wrote a fiction that I want only people that would understand it to read it. And, should they not understand it, I have a nice little dislike button on the top. But, of course, I'm sure you've written a great many top scoring fictions that far outmatch mine, right?

2197193

They're about halfway done with Sonic 06 by now, I think.

All they have left are Silver's Campaign and the Secret Story.

This gives me an urge to break out my DDR. Jeez I haven't played that in 6 or 7 years.

I LOVE THIS SONG
Clop on the ground ♪

ME TOO! :pinkiehappy:
JUMPSTYLE!

I like it, but there were several grammar errors, wrong homonym choices, and two niggling things:
DDR's title, when written out, doesn't have commas in it: Dance Dance Revolution
The song you picked would have taken up three songs' worth of credit. I kinda wished you had picked an actual DDR song or three. Apparently you like Air and Chaos, so try out DYNAMITE RAVE, B4U, and their "B4 ZA Beat" mixes; AFRONOVA; AM-3P; and bag.

That said, I liked it; in my opinion, you captured what it's like watching an arcade for several hours in the span of one song. Even if that one song was difficult to find before getting to the author's note and :facehoof:ing so hard it wasn't funny.

2197842 YEAH... wait... that sounds kind of wrong

2197839 Or it's a fantasy world and DDR can be made in any way I desire since there are no existing notions to it in this section of continuity.

there needs to be a seizure warning on that description.... But THIS STORY WAS AWESOME!!:rainbowkiss:

2197404

I daresay you shouldn't give unsolicited advice, especially when you are wrong.

the arcade community's behaviour, the introduction of the whole scenario and even the playing wasn't really that true to life which is what was needed to carry the fic.

This is a fan-created writing based upon a world of magical, talking, flying, technicolor ponies. This is not real life, and therefore it does not need to conform to real-world standards. (In short, this is fiction, your argument is invalid.)

plus you language really didn't put the right tone on the whole fic, as it creates an atmosphere and appeal for only more experienced arcade goers.

I've never been to an arcade, and yet I enjoyed the piece just fine.

one of the biggest rules of fiction is that your writing should be aimed as generally as possible. Hence your language should never be specialised unless you are portraying a specialised character.

e.g. twilight explaining magic theory to no one that gets it.

While you may have a point there, I don't think that's one of the biggest rules of writing. I believe the biggest is to have fun. If that means writing a specialized story that only a handful of people can understand in it's entirety, then so be it. And the same goes for reading the stories; they're there for us to read or not read at our convenience, and for our enjoyment.

To say he can't include things that some people will get and others won't, especially for a brony, is in my opinion, hypocritical. The writers of the very show we enjoy (a show targeted for little girls) deliberately included jokes and references that the original target audience couldn't possibly understand, and we love the show for that. So then, why limit fanfiction writers?

For some reason I think this is the best fimfic I'd read... Probable

Great Job, never expected that this is what I would be reading today!

The atmosphere you painted within the arcade was extremely nice, I could imagine it, feel a sense of the beat, and the happiness/excitement from the audience! It was a nice, lighthearted feel kind of fic, just to lighten up our spirits.
If anything was a bit weird/strange to me is the family, Chrysalis/Discord/Pipsqueak is a new one for me, BUT WHO AM I TO QUESTION A MAN'S HEADCANNON?

Anyways, have an upvote from me!
