Rainbow Dash is torn between fulfilling her dreams and acting on her feelings for Twilight Sparkle. Does Twilight not feel the same way, or is she simply oblivious to Rainbow's intentions?

I remember this, and if I do correctly, this was one of the first fics I read. Extremely well written, and packed with so much emotion.
Easily one of the best stories out there, and I'm happy to see it here. Well, here under your name, I guess

Ah, the doppelgänger is routed and you are finally here, very good! I enjoyed this story immensely when I read it on DeviantArt - and though I miss the convenience of having it broken into two parts, I am even more fond of it now that some places have been edited for clarity.
So THAT'S what happened with that Cloudy Skies person and that "Got Caught" avatar and all that...huh, weird. But, anyway, neat that you got this up again. Even though Dash seemed too serious in it, I truly loved this fiction. Congrats on finally getting it all sorted out.

Well through my little mental checklist I think I know what it is. The ending letter to the princess. Not that the story really needs it though.
Another thing that it could be missing is a sequel. Of course there are many ways this could go, and I'm sure a fan of this story could make a sequel to this story...... Might not be as good as this story, could still be interesting though.
And I started to ramble.... Sorry about that......

I think I meant he wanted it to be AppleDash. I've seen "y u no ship my OTP" before. It's the stupidest comment ever. I'll give em the benefit ofthe doubt and assume they are just being unhelpful. But seriously, give honest feedback. A writer only gets better with real critique and Cloudy deserves to be told about any flaws you might find.
Dawwwww, I can't remember whether I read this here a long time ago, or somewhere else. But it took me about 3 paragraphs to recognize this story. One of my favorites!!!
We owe you some long overdue credit, Cloudy. Thank you for writing this amazing fic, I loved every second of it!

I remember Buttersc0tchSundae's thread on FIMchan had two or three AppleDashers that wouldn't shut up about had bad and evil and wrong PinkieDash was and how she should stop writing it. It's not common, but yeah, it happens.
That said, Cloudy made TwiDash work for me, in a way a lot of others hadn't. It may be my second favorite pairing now. But I have a hard time rating those.

Well, unless we're talking about Fallout, then I'm pretty damn good, for some reason.
Vegetables is one of the funniest passwords ever. I kinda want to find a mod that makes ALL the comps have funny passwords. Like 'Steve' or 'Bologna', or 'whatever'.
A bad story is always to long, but great ones are never long enough to not leave me wanting more. With every word that I write and every dozen Twidash ships I read I find that the feel is right for them. Luna is still my favorite pony, but they are now my canon couple. One feather is worth more than a dozen diamond rings. Well played.
I think the sentence would be less odd if you went with:

Great story, while it doesn't need a sequal it would be 20% cooller if there was one.
Ahh, shipping wars. The fandoms may change, the pairings may differ, but the core battles always remain the same.
I'm a Rainbow Pie shipper through and through, but well-written romance is well-written romance. And I'd never begrudge others their OTPs.
Now, an actual review:
Love this story. Love the characterizations of both Twilight and Dash, how Dash repeatedly and purposefully launches herself at the library (oh, DASH) and Twilight is all oblivious. I liked that Dash isn't really sure why she loves Twilight and is fairly unconcerned about that detail, and enjoyed that Twilight likes the thrill of not knowing why she loves Dash in return. And, of course, the feather. THE FEATHER. It's such a wonderful moment, Twilight fighting for the feather, bleeding for the feather, clutching the feather desperately as she loses consciousness.
It's as though everything's too much for her, so she's simplified it down to ... "If I can just hang on to this feather, everything will be okay. Must. Hang. On." I love her in that moment, and I love Rainbow's panic at the thought that Twilight's giving her the feather back.
One of the best romances in the fandom ... and I'm not even that keen on TwiDash, mind you.

It's 11:36 at night, I got classes tomorrow morning having to leave my house no later than 6:30. But I'm up, after having read this probably for the 16th or something time now. And my thoughts on this story haven't changed a bit.
This is still - and probably always will be - the best TwiDash fic ever created and without a doubt one of the best shipfics out there. Every time I read this story, all the little pieces seem to just fall into place that build up the plot in a beautiful symphony.
I remember the first time I reviewed this, sending you an email. Then I posted on Deviantart a few months later. And now I'm here, once again, just singing my praises for such a great piece.
This is also the fic that nailed the final boards in place that made me a TwiDash shipper. I was already becoming on on my own for whatever reason. But after having read this the first time I was like "That's it, this is my OTP and I will stick with it till the end."
Once again Cloudy, thank you. My constant reviewing of this piece I know probably comes off obsessive but it's just a testament to how much I love it.

I'd join the call for a sequel, if only to find out how Cloudy would handle those two being in an actual relationship, other than that, it's perfect the way it is. And to date, it has been the best fic I've ever read. I've read this story so many times, I can almost recite it lol... well maybe not, but you get my point. It is the quintessential TwiDash ship fic. If anypony wan't to delve into shipping, my first recommendation would be THIS one.
I know I've said this to you before Cloudy, but damn it all if I dont say it again, never EVER stop writing the amazing stuff you do.

Well I Am Usually Very Cynical About My Rainbow DashXAnypony Fics So I'll Be Blunt : Very Well Done Sir This The Second Best TwixDash Fic I Have Read The First Being Flying High,Falling Hard And I Am Very Impressed And Shall Be Watching You Very Closely You Have Ze Devilblades Attention 
I've seen RD shipped with almost anybody except Twilight and I knew if I look hard enough I will find some TwiDash ships. And this one takes the cake - it is really well thought out and written. You literally have to read it to the very end, you can't just stop in the middle. Congrats.
I'm almost surprised how much I love this. I always love your writing, but I've never really thought about TwiDash (though I've read two other TwiDash stories I've loved this week, so maybe there's something to it).
Starting with Dash's excuses to hang out with Twilight, I really love how you handle the two together. Dash is trying to work through her own feelings while Twilight remains completely oblivious until her friends spell it out for her. Having them read about flight was really a great way to get them to really talk and hang out (and it sounds like this was written before Read it and Weep aired). Really all of there thoughts and emotions just felt natural.
I also loved the whole idea of the feather. It's something really personal and sweet, just perfect as a gift to a crush. Using it to let Twilight really figure out her feelings for Rainbow Dash as she ran through the Everfree Forest worked brilliantly. At the end of it all, it was just sweet how she ended up focusing on the feather and finding Rainbow Dash even when she was hurt.
And the hospital scene. Rainbow Dash and Twilight finally confessing their feelings was just beautiful, and Fluttershy waking up and hearing them talking was cute and funny. 
Twilight and Rainbow Dash at the end was really sweet. They both know they love each even if they're not sure, and that's fine with them. 
I know you wrote this months ago, so what I'm writing might not mean much. But I just love your writing and had to express how I feel about this story.
Somehow, I didn't realise that this story was on FIMfiction. If it means that I can favourite it, then I'm really glad it is
To be honest, I'm not really sure what I can say about that hasn't already been said: how wonderfully written it is, the sense of adventure, the fact that it's just about the sweetest thing going (I've read it twice now, and all the parts with the feather got me both times. As far as ideas go, that one was a stroke of genius).
But yeah. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story
Not much of a TwiDash guy but this story made it's case pretty well. Now I see it as a respectable ship though my favorites still win out. 
Your story has a distinct style to it, your writing is advanced but you don't go overboard with it. You know when to tone it down.
I love how well you divulge into the emotions.

This was awesome! This is the best of the three fics of yours I've read. It was just so sweet and...HONEST.
Everything in this fic just felt true. And I loved it.
I'm too tired to try and say anything more and I don't trust my phone to get me back here tomorrow and I just wanted you to know that I read this and loved it.

After weeks, and weeks...I finally found this story again. This was actually the first TwiDash fan-fiction I ever read and the idea with the feather, I always adored that and when I read it the first time, it didn't mean much. When I started looking for the story, I didn't know who wrote it, and I had forgotten the title. Anyway, I found a comic on deviantart just this day (which is where I first read the story), and I clicked the link to the story and I was just..."Hmm, sounds good. I'll add it to read later." So I did.
When I read the story, I realized how familiar this was...and when it got to the party scene, I realized that I finally found it. I was all like "Holy macaroni, I finally found it!". So...other then that little thing, this is by far my absolute favourite TwiDash fan-fiction, ever. It is very well written, the emotions between Twilight and Rainbow Dash are revealed marvelously, and just everything is just...spontaneous.
I really loved this fic! 
I don't really know what to say apart from that, haha.
Oh, I did find a tiny error in it though, near the end of this paragraph:
"Rainbow Dash?" Twilight's voice was faint and pitiful, and Rainbow barely heard her. How could she live with herself if she shied away from a challenge? Much less a challenge that she really did want? How was this different from a sonic rainboom? Twilight had once told her some stuff about having your cake and eating it. Pinkie Pie had giggled when Rainbow Dash had repeated the words, asking why you couldn’t simply another, or bake two cakes?
Would that be "simply bakeanother?"
But yeah, thanks for writing this, it's been great to read!
