One month has passed since Queen Chrysalis and the changelings made peace with the ponies of Equestria, but all is far from well. Hatred and suspicion run high on both sides, and several groups of ponies have begun to organize themselves in order to drive the changelings out of Equestria and back into the Badlands. Add in the return of an old enemy looking to break the fragile harmony by any means necessary, and the two races find themselves trapped between a rock and a hard place with no easy way out.
All Mirror wants is for the hatred to end. As a single changeling, she knows that she cannot change anything on her own and must rely on her Queen, swarm, and friends to help change Equestria for the better. But with so many factors working to ruin any chance of harmony and friendship between the two races, is peace truly meant to last?

Nice to see him all bothered by Chryssy's words. Showing off that Flutterpony form was a great way to inflict some great damage to his pride, and finishing it off with how they'll watch his last influence of chaos in the world make their own love and spread peace by embracing harmony, oh that must of been like iodine on a freshly open wound! (oops I accidentally the salt all over that too!)

You could always leave a fake statue of Discord so people could think they're talking to Discord, but not antagonize him accidentally. She could keep Discord in a cabinet somewhere, with someone checking the seals on a regular (or irregular to throw him off, I guess) basis. Keep him bored if possible, its his worst fear(?).

I finally got around to reading this.
This was a great recap/prologue. Enough familiarity to get the old memories dusted off, and enough new material that it doesn't feel repetitive.
And my two favorite antagonists having a two-sided one-sided conversation? Awesome.
I noticed a singular error:

2170282 That was my first thought. Actually, it was my second thought. My first thought was some sort of mind control spell. Then I realized that that would be a bit too power-intensive for Discord's current state. But a hologram or two, used in the right way, could easily be just as useful as mind control if all you want to do is spread a little fear and suspicion. I imagine Discord thinks a lot like a good Jenga player, knowing exactly where a minimal applied force will make the tower collapse, or a single glimpse of a changeling will set everything over the brink. Except he wants it to happen.
Damn, that opening scene was horrifying.
