In a dark, alternate Equestria where Celestia has become unstable and dangerous, Twilight Sparkle receives a package in the mail... one, final test. But what comes after will utterly destroy her and the few things she still holds dear in a cascading avalanche of mistakes, betrayal, and exploitation.
Author's Notes: Given I cranked this out in less than a week following the airing of Magical Mystery Cure, I'm pretty happy with the quality. But, as usual, this is unedited - feel free to suggest corrections and such to me.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm usually on the wire about using 'alternate universe' because most of my stories still take place in Equestria, just slightly different.
Honestly, it's probably getting downvotes because of the simple fact that so many people are getting tired of seeing Alicorn Twi stories that are Sad and Tragic. Everyone is playing the 'oh, I'm going to outlive everyone, time to kill myself' card, and so they see Dark/Tragedy tags here, and boom. Downvote.
