Well, this is basically in response to the veritable chaos that happened on /mlp/ a while ago when the Twilicorn pictures broke.

Having a home on the Dark Equestria threads, this story is going to deal with the difficulties Twilight has to deal with when she is transformed into an alicorn. Are the upsides really worth the tribulations that lie ahead?

bit harsh for Celestia to answer Twilight that way

(Joke) Alt. Title: Twipocalyptica Now
I wanted to make an Alpocalypse reference, but I couldn't.

I suspect the Actual Episode will not be this good,

I don't really see the whole now you have to leave ponyville thing.

THEY'RE RUINING TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*smashes computer and proceeds to blow up the Hasbro HQ*

Beneath the gentle exterior lies a ruler of steel. She's got thousands of years more experience than Twilight and she's showing it.

Aww thanks.

So they'll just have a major member of royalty, one of only 4 alicorns we know of, living in what is most likely a tiny backwater town? Makes perfect sense.

That's basically what happened over at /mlp/. Much amusement was there to be had.

2058903 key word we know of...........

Applejack's reaction seems kinda harsh. I mean, they've been friends for a while now and they've through so much together. I find it kind of hard to believe that Applejack would just assume that Twilight thinks that she's better than them just because she's an alicorn now. Applejack always seemed like the most understanding of ponies.:fluttershysad:

THATS BULL. YOU CANT TELL A PRINCESS WHERE TO LIVE.

Eeeh... headcanons... I've always seen AJ as a deeply family-oriented pony, where family and friends are the most important thing to her. So when Twilight explains why she can't stay, it came off to AJ as 'hey, I'm an alicorn now, fuk u', betraying her friends for her own sake. But more will come explaining this.

Maybe not, but she's always been in awe of Celestia, and has only been a princess for one day. She's just capitulating by default.

I assume that the only reason Celestia and Luna would elevate Twilight without working on such issues as "what does this mean for the future" and "where is the new princess going to stay" is because either there's a very, very good reason that we don't know about yet and they need a stronger Twilight, or because they have to to mirror Hasbro's decision.

It's a very well written piece, technically. In general, everypony even stays true to their canon characterizations. You have managed, however, to put them in the characterization equivalent of the uncanny valley - there is something badly wrong.

I have to admit, this is good. And to say what I think about Twilicorn (No idea why I keep saying that), I don't care anymore, in maybe 5 years time, the fandom will disappear, and everybody will forget that the series even existed. Hell, I forgot that Batman: The Animated Series even existed until I watched a review by the Nostalgia Critic.

I know what you mean. I try and keep every pony true to their show characterisation, but keep juuuust a little something off which unnerves you. Intentional? :rainbowwild: No, just bad writing.

Thanks for your comment and compliment, but you best get those heretical thoughts outta here before I get my wooden stake and holy water.

Okay, I'll try, but are you talking about the Batman comment, or the MLP comment?

It would make the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE a whole lot more noticeable if you made if you made it loud.
