Thanks for reading, if you have any input please leave a comment.  I hope to get one chapter out a week at the most at the moment, I have a very strenuous workload at school, and the fact that i have to write the story and edit them by myself is cuts into my time greatly.

It was good. I don't particularly like growing-old-and-dying fics, but I enjoyed yours about as much as I could. Keep it up.

Oh, and a small correction. When you were first describing their kids, you mentioned a male and a female, but latter called them "two fillies". "Filly" is female, "colt" is male.

I was tearing up a little bit the whole time, especially approaching the end. but the song... oh my dear Celestia. that's what started the waterfall.

Your story does a great justice to the traditional meaning and love behind the song. Often the hardest lesson to learn is how to accept the loss of someone dear. Twas a lesson I had to learn, and I will not be alone. Everyone needs someone there for them to help them learn. This story perfectly exemplifies that.

oh i'm still crying, i thought rarity was also about to die, what with her being dizzy and all. i hope that in future chapters we see that rarity has married spike. and spike gets his own final chapter many, many, many years after the mane 6 all pass on.
