As much as I am squeeing with school girl delight at this story, part of me is curled up in a corner over steel because knowing you prim, this story gona have one hell of a twist somewhere down the line and hasn't scoots gone through enough already?

It's just that I am a little (ok, I admit, a LOT ) disappointed in this because it seems out of place for Scoot, even if she is not the same filly we know from the show. Still... 7 years... I'm ok with 1 year (I find 1 year to be quite normal tbh), even 2. but 7.... I literally had inner battles for half an hour before deciding how to rate this new story. As you can see though, it's still a perfect 5.0 star.

But yea, it's the only thing that bugged me in all your stories, can't wait for more updates

Everybody's different, thus I'm going to write everpony differently. Note, that in Family Mares and Fears of Yesterday, Spitfire and Rainbow were married. Sex in the marriage bed is a beautiful thing, and should be actively enjoyed. Granted, they enjoyed it before they were married in A Little Piece of Heaven, but as I said before, everyone acts on their own standards.

I modeled Lightning off of myself, so he's following my standards (painful as they can be sometimes, I will admit) It's not so much Scootaloo's choice to wait (As she instigated the implied sexual activity at the end of the chapter) but her choice to be loyal to Lightning. I probably could have cleared that up better.

I skimmed the story because I could have SWORN the title came from the lyrics an Avenged Sevenfold song. It literally JUST came to me as I was typing this comment that it was "Save Me". When I found altered lyrics to "A Little Piece of Heaven" (and look, another fic title!), I knew I was right. In fact, I'm pretty sure the title of The Fears of Yesterday is from "Not Ready to Die", which I'm particularly fond of.

And no, I'm absolutely not complaining about it; in fact, I think it's pretty badass.

I'm not even going to legitimately touch this story until I've gone through the fics this is meant as a sequel to. I just wanted to get my preliminary thoughts out before starting Family Mares, and I knew I'd forget if I didn't. Bask in your READER +1 GET while I catch up to a point where I can comment on this story PROPERLY.

One final thought: I'm seeing all these ratings for each story. I wish the Internet didn't suck at conveying proper excitement.

Hands down, this is one of of the great oepnings to a fic I've ever read. This was truly an amazing start, and I can't wait to see what happens.

I'm really betting Steele becomes the antagonist here. What happens with that I can't quite decide on a theory yet, but I do hope he neither dies nor leaves ebcause of his hate. It's actually really despressing to think after all their kindness, Steele still hold such hate towards them, especially Scootaloo who I think saved him from a possibly awful future. 7 years of hate is a lot of built up anger.

Well, thanks to the epilogue of Family Mares I know nothing significantly tragic is going to happen to Scootaloo or Lightning, which detracts from the tension a little bit. But even if you know the ending, it's not worth a damn if you don't know how it GOT to the ending.
