Why the thumbs down? I thought this was rather well done. I didn't catch any glaring errors, and I have to say Mr. Cake is rather amusing. Thumbs up and tracking!

Nice work, though I find it hard to beleive that she has the same last name by coincidence.

1975537 Well, her cutie mark IS a cupcake...

Plus, I don't think Equestria has the same name/ surname system that we do. I mean, if it did, wouldn't the Apple family be called the SMITH family? I dunno. It's kind of complicated.

its one of the rare fim fiction i like:twilightblush:

Nice job, though I would have had them paly with one or two ther names first.

That is so sweet (pun intended).

1986461 I agree! Mr. and Mrs. Cake are EXTREMELY underrated by the fandom, if you ask me.

1987623 Well, technically she's their employee, but she does live with them (I think) so they are kind of like her surrogate parents.

Actually, I'd like to see a fic about how and when Pinkie left her home on the rock farm, came to Ponyville and got hired/ adopted by the Cakes.

1987701 That's great! I'll be excited to see it if it happens!

It's nice to see a fic focusing only on Mr. and Mrs. Cake  There aren't enough of them.

So far I think the story its very sweet, it made me smile  I'll be waiting for the next chapter.

Curse you, Flim and Flam! Curse you both to the depths of Tartarus! :flutterrage:

...

Okay, maybe just to the Canterlot Caves. But even so!

A very impressive backstory to Cup Cake, and a very powerful moment that brings her and Carrot together. Nice work.

Poor Cupcake, that was almost the end of a fine baking tradition that went all the back to G1 (if the two Cupcakes were ever related).

I love the method of storytelling used here, just right amount of backstory, no flashback scene, and no going overly into emotions. Pure awesomeness.

A sad yet also tender moment between Cup and Carrot. :fluttercry: Very well done.

1991297 There was another incarnation of Cup Cake in G1?

Huh. Didn't know that.

1991453 Thanks! To be honest, I was a little afraid that I was devoting too much of the chapter to exposition, but I think it turned out OK overall.

1991571 Glad you like it! Though the next chapter won't be nearly as sad, I promise.

Brief. Poignant. Excellent. :pinkiehappy:

Come on, everyone, say it with me:

D'AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

"I met a baker who stripped for me." WIN. :rainbowlaugh:

2 parts in one day? Yay!

You know, I normally don't read fics involving Mr. and Mrs. Cake because I don't care for the characters, but this is an exception. I love it so far, keep up the great work!

2002792 I... I published Chapter 6 yesterday, on the 21st.

2002810 Riiight... that makes sense. :-P

Short but definitely sweet (once again pun intended).

nice work and so speedy too.

It shouldn't be long until one of them pops the question.

Nice, loved the indecisive Snails. Scene setup was magnificent, taught the pacing seems a tad too fast. :pinkiehappy: Still better than starting with - too weeks later...

Nice, though I think the birth of his children would eventually top this as the happiest moment of his life.

2013614 I s'pose so.

2012427 Yeah, now that you mention it, some of the chapters I wrote did seem a little rushed after I read them over again. This was my first real stab at fan fiction, though, so I think I'll get more of a feel for planning out/ pacing my stories with time. Any other constructive criticism you can offer will be wholly appreciated, though!

What kind of donut did Snails order in the end? I want to know!

(more applauses) :yay::yay::yay:

A sweet ending for a sweet story. I love it

2018045 After an hour of deliberation, he decided that he wanted both.

That's pinkie Pie.
