So Spike and Rarity are the cover art, but this is pretty strongly sliding into Spike and Twilight. Guess I'll hope for the harem and that I'm not being deceived.

Well, here's hoping Twilight will still get enough sleep - loss of control and loss of sleep go hand in hand, after all. I'm somewhat surprised that Twilight thinks all her friends are more attractive though. A hint at the current status of their relationships or a comment on how they are actually being seen in their community in this fic would be a good addition in future chapters. In my opinion it would help understanding the current social dynamics. For example, we know that Spike helps out at the farm or in the bakery, but what about Fluttershy and Rainbow? Did they change over the time period it took for Spike to grow? I will patiently wait to see if any of these questions will be answered in a future chapter. Great job so far.
Yeah this story seems to be sliding more towards Spikelight then Sparity ;-/ If its gonna be Spikelight use a pic with Spike and Twilight in it.

Interesting story premise, it strongly reminds me of the film: Some Kind of Wonderful, which I liked a lot back in the day. Hope your story turns out the same way, with a good & satisfying ending for all three central characters.

Wow. I'm impressed! The dialogue felt natural and crisp, everypony felt in character, the transition from friends talking to shipping was silky smooth, and the description of the intimacy between the two was stunning!

I love how emotinal and passionate your making them both about the other and even though it has Rarity (my least favorite pony) and a bit of Spike/Rarity (my most hated pairing of all time) I'll be awaiting for more very perfect and amazingly well written chapters

Well, I hope you enjoy whatever pairings do happen to be written about. I honestly believe that any well written love story will make the reader love the characters first. I can only dream of being able to do that.

I get the image, but is "buck" the word you wanted there? Did Twist turn into a doe when I wasn't looking?
The only thing I dislike about this story is your implication that you may not finish it. Because that sir would be a travesty. This is absolutely fantastic so far and could really be something special if you stay at it. Don't let it worry you if the length gets away from you, just tell your story as completely as you need to. I enjoy long stories anyway.

Truth be told, I had very little intention to do so.
However, with all this positive feedback I am planning on writing another chapter. I do not want to promise anything; I am the kind of person who has many interests. Along with Writing, I also sing, make music, and am pursuing a degree in Computer Science. In the past I have fully intended to finish a story, only to be caught up in something else for months at a time.
I really do want to finish this one, though. The way I've planned it, it won't be incredibly long, and I believe it is a manageable task. We'll see!

I know what you mean about not finishing stories, and believe me, nothing eats at me as a writer more than when I start a story and never finish it, especially if I've posted part of it to the public. It's a really good story but there was one problem:
You got Twilight and Spike right on! But you really aren't capturing Rarity's personality, I mean you are SUPER close but there's just something that is just off.
But you earn a like and a favorite from me, this is one of the closest stories to getting Rarity down just right. ^-^
