When Pinkie interrupts Twilight as she's trying out a new spell, the spell backfires and the two are sucked into the world of books. They must find a way to escape each one, without falling to the dangers within.

When I read that scene where Pinkie and Twilight saw the tidal wave I thought of Jaws.

Also I thought of a Slayers reference but it's Twilight and Pinkie instead "Pinkie it's a Tidal, Tidal, Tidal...."Twilight panics. Pinkie see's the Tidal Wave and screams "TSUNAMI!!!!! AHHH!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good job!

While the chapter was a little short, it served its purpose well as an effective prologue, and played out wonderfully as a teaser.
I would wager to say that I rather prefer it over even the show's style of portrayal, as it is in a literary medium, after all, and thus requires at least as much skill to craft (especially in at least some attempt to get it anywhere near the show's styles) as the original.

While I didn't spot any major issues, I did see occasional lapses in quality ("Reason is that" is wrong, as well as your comma usage in certain places). But those come with writing, and I can't fault you for them.
