Pretty good..... I have trouble reading the Apple Family written accent. I, unlike a lot of people, including you, think of fanfics like a play script. Someone has an accent, but its not written in the play, however its implied. People know that Big Macintosh speaks the way you wrote it, but you actually writing it like that makes it harder to read. Thats just my opinion. 4 stars, and I hope to see a 2nd chapter.

How did I not see this? I loved reading it on your blog, but this will be much easier to track.
This was my first step into the sub-universe of pony fiction and this was interesting.
Through and through, this was a very cute story. I felt that, with the exclusion of the first break-up (which the reason for that still confuses me), this relationship that Mac and Caramel have is very believable. I found just about every interaction between the two adorable.
I also really like how you have been handling the subject of sex between Big Mac and Caramel. That in and of itself really shows the love they have for each other. And seeing how patient Big Mac is shows even more how important Caramel is to him. Though I do wonder who would top whom...
Thinking of the plot, I find it a bit hard that AJ, a LGBT pony, would have an issue with Big Mac dating a colt. I am just rather hard pressed to see it.
There were some character things and plot situations I am kinda on the fence about or actually dislike, but it is your story. My thoughts on the subjects are rather invalid.
The one place I can comment are is the writing itself. While I didn't notice many -- if any -- grammar hick-ups, I felt your pacing was odd. In Appleloosa, two sections were only about three paragraphs, and I felt they probably could have been one. And overall, most of these paragraphs could be one to three total. You would just need to add one more sentience and it would flow better together.
Please, don't get me wrong, this has been a fun read. I am really curious to see where this story goes from here. I look forward to reading more in the future.
(And if you can point me to any more M/M work, that would be awesome.

There's a reason for the break-up; Mac has had... problems before. I'll leave it at that for now, but there's an inkling of it in later stories.
The pair haven't actually had sex yet, either. Mac is very patient with poor Caramel, and I'm glad you like the slow build-up over "they met, and in a day had done everything possible to do together".
AJ has her own reasons for disliking her brother seeing anypony - it's not Caramel in particular she has an antipathy towards (besides his terrible luck), it's the worry that Mac might leave the farm and family.
You mentioned there were a few things you were on the fence with or disliked; would you mind telling me what they were? I'd quite like to know.
As for the pacing, well... I write in a way that feels natural to me. That's not supposed to sound defensive (even if it probably is), it's just, well, my style, I suppose.
There ought to be more chapters along shortly - I didn't realize how far behind the entry here was, compared to the blog I post on. Three chapters doesn't seem like a lot, but it does add up!
As for other M/M fics, I'm reading "Social Standards" off and on, here on FiMFiction - it's a Soarin'/Braeburn pairing. Other than that, I'm afraid I'm rather in the dark as well!

Lovely chapter. I was a bit lost, since it has been ages since the last update and I totally forgot why Braeburn got beaten up, but I'll look it up later.
As uncharacteristic as it is for Braeburn to be such a buckin' sack of manure, being in constant pain and not safe in "APPLEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSA" might do that to a pony. Who knows.

And as sad as it makes me to see Braeburn being such a sad sack, I still feel it's in character for somepony like him. I mean, from the brief time we saw him in Over A Barrel, he did give the impression of being prouder than anything of being able to work hard around Appleloosa. Having that taken away from him is bound to make him a mite sore. Looking forward to see what happens next.

Regarding the breakup, while that may be true, that wasn't hinted at all in the story, so that kinda went past me.
There were two things I didn't really like. The first was how Braeburn he seemed like a pony that would screw anything that moves. I never really read that into his character and it was... kinda bothersome.
The other thing was AJ's sexuality. To tell the truth, I can't see any of the mane six as sexual creatures. I can see Big Mac as pansexual with his lack of major feelings towards just about everything. And with Caramel as a background pony, I have no issue with him being gay. But AJ... I just don't see it. I feel shipping the mane six is reading way to into little details. It is just weird to me.
And can I get a link to your blog? I know I'd like to be current. =3
As I said, both points were things that were yours to make. I can't really say whether they were "right" or "wrong." Just my thoughts.

Well, the reason the breakup wasn't clear was because it didn't become apparent until this latest chapter.
My "Brae is an anything-that-moves" views came from how he was quite fine with ignoring personal space in the episode he appeared in. Other than that, yeah, I exaggerated.
As for AJ's sexuality... well, that's a personal preference, and I can't really tell you you're wrong for it, can I? (No, you're not wrong.)

I was glad to finally see Caramel again. I was starting to really miss him.
I do think that Cheerilee as an ex was an interesting choice, especially after this weeks episode. Just luck, huh?
I still kinda feel... rough about the initial break-up. I don't think this really cleared up much for me but nothing can be done about that.
I was happy to see Caramel say no to Mac the first time. Made it seem a lot more real. But it did sounds more like it was leading to another break-up attempt, which could have made sense then. I wasn't expecting Mac to try that.
And the morning after... I still think it would have been too soon for it to be as meaningful (since the attempt last night), but it was a good time.

That felt a little bit rushed, but I suppose if the main point of the chapter was to get Brae to kiss Soarin', then you wanted to get through it as soon as possible to move onto other, more meaty chapters.
Still a nice story, and that was very nice of Rainbow Dash! Did not expect her to be that thoughtful.
