I should write some pointlessly cute stories about Twilight and Spike. They aren't my forte, since I like stories with plots, but a story with just Twilight and Spike talking to each other is just what I need.
Maybe after Christmas, though. Regardless, shall be watching to see what else you do.

That was lovely. Though I actually hate (read: really, really, really, really, really, really, really, reeeaaallly dislike) the idea of Twilight being a mother to Spike. The act toward each other like friends and siblings, and motherhood is just a role Twilight steps into from time to time the same way an overbearing big sister would. Besides, their relationship is far too ambiguous for so simple a label.

Given that Spike eats gemstones, yes, and it's entirely appropriate.
This certainly put a smile on my face. I, like many others, have viewed Twilight serving as Spike's mother more than a friend. Very well-written and very sweet. Instant fave!

Okay this is going to be long, but it's no criticism against this story, simply me ranting.
Even in the shows official Canon, I could never actually see these too as friends. The fact she hatched him kinda makes it hard to accept that. When they interact, it feels more over like a "sister-little brother" or "mother-son" relationship.
Why the show can't simply hint at or vaguely know at it rattles my brain. It's not like it's controversial or taboo to have this kind of affection.
I mean at least give us a scene where Spike's life could be in danger and emphasize twilight's emotions and actions to protect him.

The show that centers around friendship has yet to dive into the most important aspect of relationships... Family (beyond sibling rivalry and mischief)
Just show us she legitimately cares about him in a focused manner. I don't care about shipping because that's a little more complex, but family? Come on hasbro!
