Oh man, I loved reading this fic when I first saw it on EqD! This is pretty much one of the most adorable shipfics I've ever read, and I like to re-read it whenever my brain seriously needs a large dose of cute, cuddly ponies (or otherwise some sort of palate cleanser

Love any PinkieDash fic, but this one is also very sweet.
However; "Dash was just a nice person"
Very good writing, but I would not call it the best in my opinion. For a couple reasons, but mainly for the initial kiss. It was completely out of the blue and rainbow had no reason to kiss pinkie pie. Rainbow was having her usual flight fantasies and pinkie ate a marshmellow and BAM! Rainbow is trying to play tonsil hockey with pinkie! No sign that rainbow had any feelings for the pink mare, just that she liked the feel of the hairdryer on her skin... It would have been acceptable if she at least MENTIONED liking her at the beginning, but without the title this fic would have gotten a 0 for Plot. Because at least the title told me what was happening, I will give the Plot a 1/5, the writing a 4/5, and characterization 4.5 out of 5. The total story is 3.1 so 3 stars

134675 Thanks for your input! I don't agree 100%, but I do appreciate you taking the time to critique it. I feel like, if every kiss started with "I fully intend to kiss this person with the full understanding of the weight of my feelings and my considerations towards them"... a lot of kisses wouldn't happen! Sometimes you just get overcome with the strange urge to just kiss someone, due to closeness or repressed feelings or the heat of the moment or whatever - and it doesn't require a lot of thought, or even liking the person 'like that' beforehand. That's where I was writing it from, at least, but I could understand how it might read as a little 'sudden.' :)

It's cute, sweet and warm and I love it to pieces. I tend to agree with Brimstone in that the initial kiss was a bit quick to happen, though I don't think it's quite so damaging as he seems to. The surrounding elements more than make up for my one problem. Your descriptions are beautiful, the dialogue is solid (humorus, to boot), and the whole thing has this pervasive warmth to it that I can't quite grasp. Great work!

I loved this story mainly because you never had them actually break character. I specifically like how Pinkie Pie was still Pinkie Pie even during the intimate moments. I don't like it when someone's personality changes during intimacy. Because they basically become someone else.
I also hate what people have done with "wing boners" after this. Everybody makes wing boners a reaction that all pegasi have. But this story makes it more like something that's unique to Rainbow Dash.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this story a 15.
I loved this story when I first read it and I love it just as much now, short, simple, sweet and in character. Fav 5/5.
