I think you've written a really sweet story, and managed to keep everyone in character. Pinkie doing a Big Mac impersonation is a brilliant mental image - I'd love to see that on screen!

I'm honestly not just hating on this because it is Fluttermac, I did read it a judge honestly. All I saw was the same stuff that I've seen before and under every circumstance it never fails to confuse me. There is very little that works in the relationship and only a few fics manage to convince me. I'll leave you be for now, but if you want a real ship, go with Flutterdash. Trust me.

You should do more parts like Fluttershy and Big Mac going on more dates, Fluttershy telling her friends, maybe Applejack not liking the idea of losing her big brother? I really enjoyed this, i hope you make more stories.
It does not matter to me how often a story is told, how many times a pair is joined, or how frequent I read them, I judge a story on its content and how well it is written... which I have to say is better than most of these people lead on to say... but I feel that it is mostly because the Fluttermac pairings is a tad overdone...
Personally, I never get tired of the pairing... and keep writing, no matter the criticism

Do you see how many TwiMac or FlutterDash fics there are? Those are overused as hell.

Twimac: You see one every once in a blue moon. Trust me when I say there are far more Fluttermac fics out there. I have read a majority but most still failed to convince me.
Flutterdash: That is a whole other thing. Comparing it to this is like comparing gold to coal. I can get a lot more from Flutterdash than from Fluttermac. The stories are believable, I buy the romance, the characters click so well together. The only thing I can find in Fluttermac is that they are both shy, and that isn't necessarily a good thing.

That's the point of shipping fics. They're supposed to go deeper into the characterization of the two ponies. I like FlutterDash, it's cute. Contrasting personalities give the ship more of a story.
But I like FlutterMac a lot more, simply because I enjoy seeing the author plan out the story, piece by piece, and then give the characters background.
So what you're saying to me is that two shy people can't properly build a relationship? That is the absolute stupidest thing I've ever heard. I have friends that are shy. I'm shy. What your saying to me does not properly compute. Because I'm shy, I won't be able to keep my friends? Being shy is a bad thing? No. Shy people take comfort in knowing there are other people, like them, that go through the same thing.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Fluttermac (though it's not my personal ship for Mac OR Fluttershy) but I've seen a great deal more Fluttermac by accident than I've seen Twimac in the Twimac Fiction section on this site itself. I've seen maybe one or two MacinDash fics, though once again, I aint searching.
