This story is a sequel to A New Friend
It has been more than a month since the events in the changeling hive took place in the last story, "A New Friend". Chrysalis, now left without her changing ability and magic, has gathered her changeling swarm with the help of her daughter, Princess Naractia. Now she plans to get revenge on the ponies that caused her to lose her power.
However, Naractia hears her plans and flees to Ponyville to warn everypony about Chrysalis. But once she leaves the hive, Queen Chrysalis sends a group of changelings to kill her daughter. Now the only one who can help Naractia is Rowan, a unicorn from a different world, student to Princess Luna, and wielder of the Element of Courage.

But even if we don't, Rowan came to Equestria from our world, so the story is based around the calendar that he knows.
Either way, you get the basic idea of how long two months are.
How many pages has Rowan copied so far? I'd say around 50-60 pages. However, the Liber Tenebrarum is almost infinite, so Rowan's only scraped the basic spells of the book.

Please tell me this is the only time you are going to put the Lyra joke, don't get me wrong, it was funny but is one of those jokes that only work once. And you said she is doing that for some time, that is not funny, that is creepy, is like what happen with the Gala ticket, happening in the daily basis.
Besides, with her chasing him all the time it will be very difficult for him to organize the event, only my opinion.
P.S: Please put a reason, for her to stop, if you are not going to put her more of her, other wise I will not be able to read the story, without thinking that sico is around the corner. (Suggestion: That Bom-Bom manage to call her down…or chain her, Luna given her a special visit, Shade, given her a special visit;only suggestions)

But I don't know if Rowan would go well with Rarity.
They have completely different interests and natures than each other, plus I might get some bad comments saying that Spike should be with Rarity. I wouldn't want that, but I will put this idea into the story. You can be sure of that.

Thanks dude, you are right, as long as is not rush, any of the main six will work…minus Rarity, you are right, there could be some negative response, but hey you can even extend the options to just the main six…another option was Zecora…from other options, if you ask me he can go with anybody as long as they are a little calm (for that and the whole technically be close to royal that Rarity may find interesting) So, I exactly see him with energetic ones like Dash, AJ and definitely not Pinkie, as they friends said, he can be very focus and I see that even do he is implosive some time, he is not competitive or energetic.
Just don't put him with Twilight, that will just be the obvious choice, know what I mean? Do the unexpected, be creative, you are doing a great job with the story itself, so why not?
P.S: I choose Zecora because I can see them have some things in common: Both having uniques abilities, being pretty smart, live away from their birth place, have a completely different culture than the ponys, and like to discover new things, get it?

Yeah I get it, and is true what you said, but you have to admit, they have done that A LOT, of times (OC/Twilight) as I said, just tried to build up the relationship and don't rush things up, and any of the mares (minus Rarity) will work smoothly
Amazing story so far! I really hope Naractia and Rowan get really well acquainted with each other.
However I see just one flaw in this chapter. At the very end when Rowan said that he liked her being a pony better, it's going against to what she really is and what she looks like. In some stories the person that become a friend (or bf/gf) likes them for who they are. However, on the other hoof, since she doesn't really like the changelings at this point, she might even hate what she really is...
Other than that, I still love this fan-fiction.

But really, that's what I'm trying to set into the plot. Naractia is someone who wants to embrace the ideals of ponies, and draw away from the way of the changelings completely. Don't worry, I'll clarify that in later chapters.
Hey I just realize something, with all the similarities Rowan have with Twilight, the only thing missing is that Luna also happen to have a Female Captain of the nocturnal royal guard, that happens to also be a unicorn, and after meeting Rowan and spend time with him, she grow close to him and start see him as a younger brother.

Uy that is a tough one, let me think…hmm, well, she and Rowan must get along so she must be sweat and calm, but at also outgoing, perhaps with a very sense of duty, and loyal to the crown, think like the big sister that is funny but makes dinner for his little brother, when their parents are not in the house, in resume take care of you with a warm smile and a plan for the two of you to have a good time. But obviously in the line of duty she can be strict when require.
As for her physic, well lets see…I was thinking a body similar to Fleur De Lis (The Episode where Rarity goes to Canterlot, is the pony always with Fancy Pans) but with black fur and red mane (short or long, I can't decided witch one works better) , perhaps light blue or green for her eyes color, with a stylize nocturnal guard armor, and for cutie mark a red and large shield with 3 swords coming out of it, and a crescent Moon in the center of the shield
(Over all, I picture her, being tall, attractive and giving a warm and peaceful aura all the time, unless she is angry or on duty) You understand?

Question, where is Shade? I bet he can identify changeling so he can help, plus Rowan and Rosa are the only ones that can do shadow magic, so they can prove who they really are, Rosa, on the other hand, well that will be a little complicated.

Yes, but I think that I'll put that into the next story. It will make more sense because the next story mainly takes place in Canterlot, because a captain of the guard doesn't leave Canterlot at any time they want.
