That was very sad. It was a good one though...
It was good up until the whole Fluttershy killing herself part... Seems incredibly OOC for Fluttershy. I mean, she's scared of her own shadow; what makes anyone think she'll have the fortitude to go through the process of suicide by slashing her hooves? Also, towards the end, the whole "putting each individual thought as its own one-sentence paragraph" thing got a bit annoying after awhile. It was a well-written story, don't get me wrong, it's just... not perfect.

To the author... Bravo. Very sad, very touching, and very well written.

Does anyone remember the other grimdark story concerning the growing Spike in case I don't find it? It was set during the Summer Solstice or other holiday, it centers around a very aged Twilight who sends Spike on trips back to the other Mane 6 to reflect on their past/friendship so Spike wouldn't be around for her ending moments, so by the time Spike makes it back she had already passed.
I found this one thanks to Equestria Daily and it has become my top favorite, it manages to knock over my tower of feels every time.
