I'll come back and read the whole thing when I've got a second, but from what I've already seen this is gripping and original and efficiently written. The profanity and gore are not really my cup of tea, though, but that's my only criticism.
Pretty good, but why is it, whenever I read this fic or fics like it, I get the distinct feeling that some god or other is sat up there with his DM hat on, watching the protagonist, and going 'Hey, hey guys - you know what'd be hilarious? If I did _this_!'

I actually agree. They are out of character, in fact the more I think about it the more I regret not using OC ponies instead, and having the mane 6 only have cameos. What's done is done I suppose. I'll revise this chapter a little, maybe try and make them less of a 'bunch of assholes'.

You see, of all the many ways to engender my wrath in this universe, harming Fluttershy is one of the top three. And... well, the implication is pretty clear here. So clear, I am in fact expecting a deus ex to pop out of the woodwork any moment.
As for the military situation... well, the secret organisation with extensive authority that was designed specifically to combat the freaky stuff has been co-opted by the big freaky thing that wants to end all existence. Well, damn. That said, if it is true the army still serve the Princess and therefore do not wish to engender her wrath by harming one of the Elements (and therefore one of her most potent assets), I almost pity... scratch that, I anticipate with barely concealed _glee_ the Captain's reaction when that grunt brings him a Pegasus Element with her _wings broken_.
I would love to give a more constructive critique of this chapter, but unfortunately I'm stuck envisioning the aforementioned punishments for that pony.
