There are SO many paragraphs that could have been cut to make this chapter more engaging. Just because you can stretch out an entire chapter with exposition and inner thoughts doesn't mean you HAVE to! I mean, what's the point of writing an entire paragraph asking questions about Nightmare Moon's identity that the audience can easily ask THEMSELVES without said paragraph, if you were going to follow it IMMEDIATELY after this paragraph with a line of dialogue bringing up the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS YOU ALREADY POINTED OUT!!!
In the censored words of the immortal Yatzee "THIS IS NOT GOOD STORYTELLING! You're suppose to WEAVE exposition into the narrative, not hand the audience a #### glossary as they walk into the theatre!"
4952692 Sadly these were the earlier parts of this story. I realize and accept I made a number of mistakes in the first 3-4 chapters of this story before it really improves. I also admit that I have a bad habit of repeating myself.
I'd also like to add this for you: Every writer has their own unique style. Sometimes though it takes several stories to fully develop it.
