Okay, so I just HAD to do it! The episode Secret of My Excess was one of the episodes that got me watching My Little Pony. I've searched around FIM, but I haven't seen very many stories about Spike dealing with his dragon side (the ones I read were stupendous though). Poor little guy though. If one thinks about it, Spike must combat his demons every day just to be able to live in Ponyville. Plus he's going to outlive all of his friends many, many times over. There's so many things, and he is really one of the most complex and tragic characters on the show...

Thank you! And yeah, I took the whole "dragon racism" thing from the ponies' treatment of Zecora. Plus, ponies in general seem to think of the average dragon as just a huge, mindless monster. I guess Ponyville isn't such a tolerant and accepting place, eh?

Yep, we all know that if Rarity wasn't there, that pony would've been completely screwed. Funny enough, Davenport IS cannon (as in the character itself and not the way I've portrayed him), and he actually does tells Spike that he is out of stock on quills in a Quills and Sofas store in the episode Owl's Well that Ends Well I believe.
Also, he just may get a comeuppance later...

You know, I see a very useful solution that involves sticking it to the guy worse than the manly way of fisticuffs.
Twilight is being badgered into going to one of the HIGH class parties, where HIGH class members of NOBILITY gather. And as we all know, HIGH class NOBILITY will side with the princess in as many ways as they can (since it does well for their public image). The princess clearly disapproves of species-ism. Does anyone see where I"m going with this?

But seriously, it's slowly building up to be a Sparity. I just don't like to suddenly rush into it, but let it build up naturally. Still, I love the close relationship between Spike and Twilight. Their relationship just runs so deep. I just don't see them catching boners for each other after her hatching him as a filly and their growing up together. Kinda like going after your little brother and not the boy-next-door. But that's just my opinion.
But soon, there are going to be some crack pairings all around...
