...not feeling anything. Rainbow factory felt worse. I couldn't get through the first chapter of The Experiments of Twilight Sparkle.

Anyway, I'm going to track this but I can't bring myself to read it read it right now... something about me being in a good mood and not wanting in ruined... I will read it later though...
The only thing I don't like about this is that we know that twilight is gonna win. It takes the "what's gonna happen" and "will twilight survive the attack" out of the story...
Other than that, I like it, it's not overly gory... nothing is after cupcakes, (or saw or Nightmare on elm street or Final Destination or Hostel or Friday the 13th or the human centipede or Teletubies... Not that I've seen all of them, in fact I've only seen about 3/34 (in my calculations, might be more) and read the plot lines on Wikipedia to (some of) the others (If I watched them I would find them gross and stupid... well, even more so) I just read about them so I can point out how over the top they are.

I will be honest:
I did not read the actual story.
But I have a fetish for grimdark and gore.
Reading this now makes me realize why my fanfiction never got featured yet, although it is a pretty good one and has many folowers.
I admire your vocabulary, your writing style, your sheer amount of detail you put into each sentence.
A person who learned english as a foreign language like me can only dream about getting such a standart.
But really, this is amazingly horrible. I don't even feel bad for laughing out loud each time a pony died.

Hm.. I'm reading all these coments saying how Grimdark this is? I guess I got jaded after reading Cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, and Ask Lil Miss Rarity... but this doesn't feel that grimdark... Although, as previously mentioned, I am now horribly horribly jaded..

Omg. Just when I thought the story couldn't get any better… Fluttershy gets her face eaten, and Rainbow Dash gets super speed whipped out a fucking window. Those two are my favorite ponies, and I have no clue why I laughed so hard. Although, I do wish that Rarity had gotten a more gruesome death. I just don't like her. Anyways, Good bucking show, chap. I figured this was coming, if not from smayds then somene else. Good fic thus far.
On a side note though, the whole Cupcakes as a standard for grimdark deal needs to stop. It's really not. Call me jaded or cynical, but cupcakes is the quintessential torture porn. By that I mean that its a cheap thrill with very limited emotional content behind it. Without that, it can't really be disturbing. There are only so many ways to chop something up. I give credit to smayds, there's just a better set up for grimdark here. Conflicting emotions, issues beyond the next way to convey "damn that hurts." Even the gore that was there was done better, in a darker style than cupcakes. Personally, I found it infinitely colder the way Twi casually offed everyone and moved on. It was nearly clinical, other than Fluttershy.
One criticism. I did think it was getting a little old with the mass murdering of background ponies. It loses shock value when every attack results in another several hundred ponies dead or maimed. I get the reasoning behind it, but its overplaying the hand.

Mostly because Celestia controls the sun ,right? the sun is ball of fire. Why is Nightmare Flare killing her? you'd think she'd get burns from raising the sun, or immunity to fire.
I'm sorry, but I was laughing the whole time through this fic. I love your writing style, and as much as I didn't like Cupcakes, RocketToInsanity, or Rainbow Factory, I had to like this, mainly because it was based off of another story.
I laughed my ass off the whole time I read this. I've had much worse.
