    Inspector Hard Boil (M.P.D. 1264)

    Case #220, dt. 12.19.11

Apartment 616 of assisted living facility "Sunset Abode" (1811 Neigh Ave., Stableton, Manehattan) was searched twenty four (24) hours after psychiatrist Dr. Cracker (63) had notified to the respective department the disappearance of its current occupant, Dr. Stable (65), on 12.18.11. Testimonies of nurses indicate that subject had exhibited unusual reticent behavior during the course of the week. The room had a bed, a small closet, and a writing desk. An empty locket was found in the middle drawer of the desk. Subject had left a partially burnt manuscript under the bed, a typewritten copy of which was attached to the corresponding folder after being examined by Dr. Cracker herself (refer to File I-19). Based on a thorough reading of said manuscript, she suggested that subject might suffer from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), although he had been initially institutionalized for paranoid schizophrenia. Relatives have been informed of the situation. Patrols are on the lookout. Search for subject will intensify if he does not turn up in the next forty-eight (48) hours.

    End report.

So here’s a belated Halloween story! :twilightsheepish: Huge thanks to Arbarano for editing it. It was inspired on Ryūnosuke Akutagawa’s short story, “In A Grove,” and this music video, which  you might already be familiar with.

You’re welcome to give constructive criticism/flame/post memes/provide whatever sort of feedback you think more appropriate. :rainbowwild:

Im confused, scared and entertained by this story.

I was at first thinking this story a bit tedious but you have great potential as an amateur writer my good sir/ma'am. I may need to check my closet for Redheart and Twilight's decomposing corpse because Im scared as fuck so thanks for that.

    :rainbowderp: :twilightoops: :ajsleepy: :fluttershbad:

    SCARED.

Oh did i say corpses? I meant to say Nascar was taking place in Sugarcube Corner and Vinyl Scratch is actually Skrillex. And by Skrillex I mean Vampire.

Also Spike is the distant relative to Puff the Magic Dragon and so embark on a journey across Equestria honing his skills as a master magician so that he can win the heart of Rarity and the respect of Twilight.

Sheer brilliance in this story, and I loved every turn. You even perked me up during that little 'uncomfortable' scene.

It played out as it should've in my head; an enjoyable horror movie, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the ride. There were definitely mistakes in this fic, but I filled the holes on my own.

Well done, friend. Well done indeed.

Then you've got the poor bastards who read the comments before the story, looking for a gauge on how good the story is :V.

Think of the poor bastards, sir!

Quick! Edit the comment to be something COMPLETELY misleading, say three hundred Hail Maries, and put your head in the oven set to -500 degrees Farencelsius!
