I understood things. Then again I head-cannon the herd structure of pony society ever since reading Xenophilia. It just makes too much sense given their species and population disparity between genders.

I know horses have a herd mentality and therefor multiple mates, buuuuuut I can't help but think about how the characters of this show have a more human like personality that would make me think they would do the one partner thing. But again, well written and tasteful. I'm assuming Fluttershy called Big Macintosh "Mr. Macintosh" to be cute.

I can't say I disapprove, Twimac and Twishy are my two favorite pairings
