Romance Tragedy Sad

A melodramatic tale of a doomed romance. Whilst gathering ingredients from the forest, a young mare stumbles across a sickly stallion living there. Against her own better judgement and that of her friends she tries to restore some life to him, their bond strengthening as the years pass.

EqD tends to prefer its one-shots longer -- 2500 words or so -- but this is easily a match in quality for some of the stuff they do pick up.

This is a great piece of art right here. This almost made me cry, a short love story but with a big impact.
