Hm, the only thing I would suggest is a little more build up. I suppose I am a fan of good sexy stories when the time between the telling them they like each other, to the conclusion, is drawn out, and the emotions are displayed ever so subtlely.
Hehe...maybe it is just me. I did like the story, as I love Spike and Fluttershy, so both of them together makes me happy. I just hope Spike will be able to care for his Kirin foal when Fluttershy does get pregnant...=p

Alright, prepare for some criticism.
One, I think it was actually your very first story, either that or the second, since I know Rarity's Love came after it. Two, I have no actual criticism, and I love you. Kudos to you for doing possibly the only Fluttershy x Spike clop at the time of its original release. Finally, I want to know why you trust me so much when it comes to your stories? It just seems a little silly, since I think your stories are better than mine, yet mine somehow get more views and likes and such.
EDIT: I should have more views, but I re-did my entire story by deleting the chapters, and using my hard copies to merge them into bigger ones, so as a result I only have a little over 100 views as opposed to over 1000. And it also seems that while your older stories don't have as many likes as my story, they have far more views, which I believe they deserve, since I already stated I believe your writing skill surpasses mine.

Keep in mind that you are not the only one I call upon to look over previews of an upcoming story (as you can very well see with that blog post). The answer to that question would simply be that I've "known" you and talked to you enough here on Fimfiction to see that you have experience with writing and that you haven't done anyone wrong (spreading something when they said not to, throwing complete dirt on it, etc.), so that is why you are one of the quote-on-quote, what I like to call, "Big Three". You three are who I tend to turn to when it comes to the handling and over viewing of my stories. I don't really know how this factors into it, but if you work in my profession with an education like mine (I not only have an Engineering degree but also a Business degree in case something happens) you learn really quick and get an eye for who's trustworthy and who isn't. ALSO keep in mind that the statement I just made, it has nothing to do with my watchers at all, the reason they don't often get things is because of a lack of conversation between us.
For the second part, I don't think I can quite answer that with one simple statement. I think this one has multiple answers. To start off, I think that I am a flawed writer. While I'm confident about it and do like the slow pace to "fame" (for lack of a better word) I'm going at, I don't think that my writing is anywhere near as good as yours. I also think its more of a promotion thing for me, a location scheme if you will, but I don't really have people promoting the stories. Whether it be someone on Tumblr saying they should come check out my stories or a full-blown Facebook page, I have none of those. Lastly, I think it's a popularity issue. You've been here a lot longer than I have, and as such, you've earned the trust of some of those who might have read your work, liked it, but didn't follow early on. So in a nutshell, popularity, demand, and quality.
A good story and a sequal would be awesome. Maybe where one of their friends discovers their relationship? Perhaps Pinkie, she would most likely be the one to react best to the news as she doesn't care as long they are happy.

I found this to be a very engaging story with nice characterization and a very pleasant atmosphere throughout. The pacing was agreeable and the overall plot good enough to keep me reading. Something I did notice though that might not have been intentional was a sort of animosity that spike seemes to have for the other mane 6, Twilight Sparkle especially. It was not overly apperent or anything it just seemed that way through your choice of wording. Overall a great read and a good clop. Definatly worth a review!

Yes actually. I gave my girlfriend something similar, so that is where the inspiration for that whole scene stemmed from. By definition, Onyx is "a semiprecious variety of agate with different colors in layers". So it is not always black, though that is certainly the most common color for it.
