You've effectively combined two of my favorite things in a fantastic and creative way, and have done an amazing job in writing the story so far. You are, by no means, a mediocre writer. If you want to drop this for something else planned, by all means, go right ahead, but stopping a story because you think you're doing a BAD JOB? Does the fact that this story has 59 like and 3 dislikes mean anything to you? This is a pretty tough to please crowd you're dealing with, and you've held our attentions for 13 chapters, which is a lot more than I could say for most other books I've read.

Although it disappoints me to see that one of my favorite stories is ending before a conclusion is reached, it breaks my heart to see one of the few people left in the world with a talent for writing throw that all away.
