Attempting to summon a creature without a Contract is literally gambling with your soul. However, Uzumaki Naruto is extremely lucky when it comes to gambling and manages to summon something that won't kill him outright.

This is weird... I have a pure Narutoverse fic with practically an identical concept. (He gets foxes - and not kitsune, just foxes.)

Putting coincidences aside, I like the look of this. (Especially impressed with Kusari-gama - very neatly executed pun.) Naruto does rather seem like he'll fit in well with 'em. (And the idea that Pinkie was randomly wearing ninja gear just 'cause is very funny)
What does his mammoth chakra capacity entail for the potential summoning of deity-level individuals (i.e. Celestia, Luna, Cadence when she turns up)? Are they to be considered equivalent to a boss (massive chakra needed) or equivalent to a Sage (beyond-normal chakra needed, as in when Jiraiya has to have some nature chakra to summon the Sage Toads - if I was reading what he did right, of course...)?

Celestia and Luna are the boss-level summons. But there's hints as to what else Naruto will be able to summon. That's all I'll say.

The only thing that bothered me a little was the unusual amount of information about who each Naruto character was... personally, I feel it was a bit redundant and could have been presented later on through dialogue, rather than in narrative. For example, instead of all the exposition about Tsunade's hospital, you could have had the Hokage and Jiraiya talk a bit about it. "I wonder what Tsunade will do when she hears that you're in her hospital," or something along those lines.
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it.
Pffft! Luna and Celestia? Who cares about them? Sic Pinkie on your enemies and watch them flee in stark raving terror!

Really looking forward to this fic, as the other Naruto xovers I'm following haven't updated in a while. It'll be interesting to see how Naruto uses them during the exam as well as on missions.
Awesome! You sir, have brought together two of my most favorite shows together in one fanfic and you are doing an absolute good job at that!
Like how the ponies of Equestria are summons too. What would be really cool is if Naruto summons the 6 Elements of Harmony all at one time and the 7 of them fight in the Chunin exams against Neji! That would be totally priceless.

It would be overkill. And, since Naruto is going to put more thought into his actions, it wouldn't look good for the judges. Rather, he'll summon just one pony. Not telling which one though.

Hands down, this is the best crossover I've seen since The Mysterious Origins of Scootaloo, which crossed so many things... just so many things...
It was a little too heavy on the manga style language for my taste, although that's just personal preference. By the way, you said earlier that descriptions are difficult for you, and although I didn't find much wrong with them, there were a few places that didn't describe the scene at all. That ought to be corrected, if possible. PM me if you would like help with that, okay?

Interesting, you've melded Equestria's canon into the Summon world in rather interesting ways, including one that explains quite well why the Ponies would not be known to most human summoners. I am pleased and will not have to resort to tormenting you with dental surgery for this story's plot!

It's the Japanese name for Sun Wukong. Aka. The Great Sage Equaling Heaven. Aka. The Monkey King. Aka. The Victorious Fighting Buddha (or "Buddha Victorious Against Disaster" depending on how you read it.)
NOTHING TO DO WITH DRAGONBALL. It's one of my biggest peeves when people associate the heroic Monkey with that stupid show.
As a person who's read very little Naruto and watched even less, I'm having trouble getting into this. Which is a shame, because it's definitely interesting. You seem to have a tendency to dump info on the reader rather than letting the information flow naturally from the narrative. For example, I really had to struggle to get through those first few paragraphs, as it was a flood of information about characters, places, and all manner of things that not only am I unfamiliar with, but don't actually seem to matter much to the story.
And when you introduce characters, you would (sometimes) give a very basic description of how they look, and maybe a bit about who they are. This caused me to forget everyone's name the moment the scene ended and the focus shifted to new characters, as there was nothing much for me to remember them by.
I don't know how experienced you are or aren't when it comes to crossovers, but a key thing to keep in mind is that you aren't just writing for fans of both genres, but also for fans of one who know nothing about the other. Especially on a website like FimFic. Things like this—
Her eyes closed as she smiled behind her veil, looking very similar to how Kakashi-sensei smiled on occasion.
—mean absolutely nothing to me as a reader, and only serve to make me feel left out. And the way around this is not to dump relevant (or irrelevant, for that matter) information on me.
Still, I'm going to be tracking this, as the concept was interesting enough. I only hope that the chapters to come are handled a bit more smoothly. Good luck.

Actually, this would have been a lot worse had I not already tried to account for those who know nothing of Naruto. Obviously I missed a number of things and I'll have to go back and fix it. As I have a lot of things occupying my time, I'll be looking for someone to point out all such instances in this first chapter (unless you're volunteering). Additionally, I apologize for the info-dumping. It's a bad habit I have never been able to fully curb.

I dunno, this chapter just felt... too similar to the source material? Things played out almost exactly like Dragonshy did, with Naruto adding a little corollary at the end of each scene. This sort of makes sense, considering the characters haven't changed much personality wise, up until this: Fluttershy's end dialogue seems a little out of context, especially here:
"And I'm very sorry about that," she replied with less heat. "But that doesn't give you the right to retaliate with violence. Besides, you're bigger than her - you should know better."
Um, you guys were using lethal instruments too; should he just sit there and take it? I thought violence was an acceptable (if not the most preferred) option in this alternate universe.
Hmm... I would like to see how this goes but it isn't giving a lot of needed information in many respects to the context and the world, etc. I have watched Naruto (and read it) and I understand 95% of what's going on, but that doesn't mean I'm getting a good picture of the world and actions in my mind, and the same could be said for other readers.
