oh god i love the Bartimaeus books and Twilight summoning a djin like him into equestria will not end very good.
Also i am wondering what will convince him to stay in equestria because he knows Twilights true name and therefore she cannot really control him, and i doubt Twilight really knows what she can do with his true name.
And i hope Bartimaeus is still more powerful than those ordinary mortals, and that twilight only got him there because he isn't as well versed in pony magic and got suprised.

Any worries I had that this story wouldn't live up to the source material have been blown away. Tracked.
One note though: I did see a few commas that would have been better as semicolons. Grammar check came up clean otherwise.

Oh hey, people are actually paying attention to this one! Alright, some general things. For now, I'll be sticking with my current solution for footnotes, if that's alright with ya'll. Thanks to those who sent suggestions, but they're all kind of work intensive. That leads me to another point, as much as I enjoy writing it is hard for me to do, hence my updates will be short and sporadic. I am a musician (in training) above being a fanfic writier. Now to answer ya'll individually, because there aren't many of you, which ain't a bad thing at all. A few is better than none, after all!
@Wockstar: Thanks! I do intend to continue, at an astonishingly slow rate.
@Cadmium: Remember, the true name talisman gives Barty the ability to reverse punishment spells. As far as I'm aware, that doesn't really reduce Twi's power over him. What I'm going for here is... well, you'll see!

@AjaxGb: I do have trouble with splicing sentences together. Commas and conjunctions and semicolons and colons confuse me greatly. Thanks for the compliment though! Yes, I do find that writing with Bartimaeus' signature narrative style brings out the best in my writing style.

And yes Twilight told him her real name invited him into her house didn't use the binding runes, she has nearly no leverage against him here and he has infinitely more experience than she does, that is bound to not end in a good way. Or end in a extremely hilarious way.

Not bad. While I think that Barty is a little out of character (He's much to open and friendly to a magician who has enslaved him, he hasn't utilized knowing Twilght's true name yet, he's to easygoing about the idea of talking ponies, ect.), i am interested in where this will go. You have earned yourself a fav. Just be sure to keep it going. I attempted making my own Bartimaeus crossover (you can read it here), but in the end I was to busy to continue it and cancelled. I would be happy to share my story ideas with you if you wanted to.
Interesting. Bartimaeus has practically been given free reign to do as he wishes, provided it doesn't involve hurting Twilight.
What I want to know though is if he will meet Discord. As the "Spirit" of Chaos, he should be something akin to Ramuthra. The meeting would be quite shocking for the both of them.
It's sad that there's only two Bartimaeus fanfics, and both of them dead for over 10 years...
