    Here's "Wassup"

As I sit here in the darkness, waiting for my weekly Pathfinder game with several brits to resume after a month-long hiatus so my getting up early will have been worth it, it occurs to me that I might consider giving some notice to those of you who pay attention to my writing habits.

Which means basically no-one. I mean, maybe I'm just self-absorbed, but when I watch a writer, it means I notice when he posts a story, not when he doesn't. Still, good to get things on the table.

I am currently editing my second-oldest fic, Peace or Harmony. When that's done, I may turn to editing another one of my old unposted fics, or I may write something else. I know that Crawling Creeper, Gumming Gator and Sombra's Horn Survived The Blast both have followups planned, and I was considering doing a piece about Flashes on the Horizon, too (though I wouldn't call it a followup).

I also recently started a silly fic about Rarity getting in a romantic mood and putting the moves on each of her five friends, but not sure I'm gonna finish that 'cause it's kinda silly. :raritywink:

Regardless, I will try to work on something this January. College ain't getting the best of this writer, no-sir-ee-bob!

You could have lived the rest your lives in blissful ignorance and died happy fanfic-reading bronies, but you wanted to feel power this year. Well, now you're going to my feel my power as it surges downward from me straight through you from nostril to rectum now until the end of time... and that's... wassup.

    NaNoWriMO

Yeah, I'm doing my NaNoWriMo about ponies. Wanna fight about it?

Put the guns down, jackasses, it's rhetorical. Obviously many people would like to fight me for many reasons (like, aheh, that post about Mysterious Mare-Do-Well I made a while back that I've since changed my mind on).

I do NaNoWriMo every year, and not even my many responsibilities (community college, my Pathfinder game about tieflings and beetles, all those fics I have yet to read, and oh, yeah, the fics I'm supposed to be WRITING) can dissuade me from pursuing it again this year.

Anybody else giving it a spin? Anybody else doing it with pony? Anybody plan to post the crazy mess they end up making, like me?

    ----

Oh, and my synopsis, since nobody you all demanded it:

Told in the format of a campaign journal, the ponified Age of Worms tells the tale of a cowardly druid, a reasoned wizard, a humble ranger, a dashing rogue, and two speedy barbarians--one egocentric, the other merely insane. Following the instructions of the wizard's mistresses, the party travels north to the little town in the Crystal Empire known as Crystal Lake.

Here, in an old cairn dedicated to a hateful duke of wind and war, these heroes will discover the seeds of a deadly secret. The secret of a god. A god that threatens to reduce their world to a decaying shell. The druid in particular is wary of this quest, but how can she abandon her friends? How can she bring herself to let them down?

She can't. Because doing so would mean allowing the fall of The Age of Harmony, and the dawn of a new era:

    An age of writhing doom.

The story may or may not be the invention of the Mane Six's monthly Pathfinder game. If so, does that mean I get to not tag it Dark? That tag is ever so depressing. :raritywink:

Flashes on the Horizon Posted, As Promised!

Well, sorta. Being the attention-grasping goblin I am, I'm not going to submit it properly until it gets accepted by EQD.* It's a little trick to get extra views that just might this time land me on the Featured list!**

It's available for reading, though, to the 'TRU FANNNNS' who actually read my rambling, directionless blogs. Flashes on the Horizon tells the story of six unimportant ponies sitting on a hill, as a battle is waged many miles away for the future of Equestria. It's somewhat different from my normal sorta stuff (for one thing, it reinforces that pesky Vinyl/Tavi fanon I'm always grumbling about), so I'm crazy eager for feedback!

I'll be running between two cons--Paizocon and Everfree Northwest--from tomorrow to Sunday. I expect plenty of wacky sitcom hijinks not unlike Rarity's antics towards the end of "Sweet and Elite", and I hope to run into some of you during! Cheers, y'all!

    * Or, more accurately, gets turned down three times. But hey, a gob can dream.

    ** LET ME DREAM, JERKS.

    Back on Track

RitB resumes very soon. I've been pretty crazy busy, but I'm setting a new goal. You're all witnesses. I will complete Rats in the Belfry and start posting another work besides (or finish editing Fresh Timber, whatevs) before Everfree Northwest! That is my solemn oath!

As Celestia is my witness, I'll never go hungry again!

What? No, it doesn't relate. I'm hungry, is all. Why does everything have to be about fanfiction with you people?

Fresh Timber - Where doin it man

    where MAKING THIS HAPEN

That's right--I'm gonna start editing Fresh Timber for the first time in a good time. It's time to clean this up. I've been working hard on Peace or Harmony, but Fresh Timber's right there, starin' right at me, all like "dude, what about me" and I can't let that dude down.

Whoops. I'm talkin' all SBaHJy now. I'll try to cut down on that. I don't think it's a good state of mind to be in while editing a story.

Aside from "Fresh Timber" and "Peace or Harmony", I plan on getting to work on "Flashes on the Horizon" and "Behind the Mist" quite soon. I finished Script Frenzy seventeen days ago and it's time to stop procrastinating.

To recap: "Fresh Timber" is the first story I posted, a prologue to a big history work about the early days of Ponyville. "Peace or Harmony" is my first big fanfic, a story set in an alternate history where the three rulers went missing right before the blizzard. "Flashes on the Horizon" is a story about a bunch of minor characters watching a far-off battle for the future of Equestria.  "Behind the Mist" is a grimdark story I wrote for NaNoWriMo about a world where everypony but Fluttershy has been sort of killed.

If anybody has any tips on what Fresh Timber needs to work on, feel free to voice 'em.

Also, "Rats in the Belfry" will continue on the first of May.

A creeper tries to blow up Sugarcube Corner, but he doesn't count on a toothless, completely harmless alligator. Nor does he count on the wonders--and perils--of the pony concept, "friendship".

Cover by my sister. You can see more of her awesome work on her Deviant Art page.

Whew! I wrote this just last night. Stayed up to 1:30 AM doing so.

This was fun.

I don't usually write crossovers, is the thing. I usually shy away from crossovers. But I've always loved sticking creepers in other settings. I came up with the idea of Gummy going up against one, and...well, it kinda became a whole big thing.

It's not my normal style of fic at all. I mean, I love comedy, but most of my stories are about OCs, and they tend to be serious. But it was fun, so it was written. Hope you enjoy! :pinkiecrazy:

I will never forget that creeper.

I may have come behind them thanks to limited internet and no internet under the summer, but Sir Creepalot is a great chap.
