Did I seriously just read a story that had Luna and Celestia almost fight to the death because of socks? Socks? Really?
I'm not going to lie, this story wasn't particularly well written. Character development was minimal, the plot made close to no sense, and the meme jokes felt a bit out of place.
But, it was still quite fun to read. Sure, it wasn't exactly deep, but it got a few laughs out of me. I liked it. Well done!
Celestia < socks? The math doesn't add up, but it somehow makes sense.
What's next, Celestia < killer tomatoes?
Awesome and funny story, character development and dept be dammed! They are not needed to make a story like this great. However I do have one complaint, corporal Kickstart's rank is wrong from what I picked up on, unless I've gotten the wrong impression that he was the commander, a corporal is practically the third lowest rank in the in the military. Yet I did read your author's note about you taking those characters from another story, which I have not read, so its probably just an oversight. Just kind of annoys a military nerd like me but in the end no biggie, so whatever. Anyway hilarious story, I liked it!
I find this story really good, it does not need any character development and is genuinely funny.
That said, pinkie for you.
My thoughts as I read this:
Prior to starting: Okay, this should be funny.
Beginning: Overly dramatic in media res beginning, this is promising.
Into the story itself: This is... okay.
"And then Celestia was socks."

This sbhould be cannon! I don't mean the whole sock thing, but I'm tied of Celestia being perfect. I really hope we see her freaking out in season 2.

Just to be perfectly clear, I really loved this story. It was funny, brightened my day, and was all-around just very fun to read. I'm very happy to see that it's now a featured story.
Depth is not necessary for a story to be down-right awesome; this story is proof enough of that. So, even if I can't really call this a well-written story from an academic viewpoint, I can say that it was fun as hell to read, and that I would love to see another story from Dubs.
Very good in a completely ridiculously non-canon way. (Scream loud enough to perminantly deafen... and she chokes on WHAT?). Character derailment for the win.

I actually generally PREFER the Sisters to be GENERALLY "above it all"... occasional mistakes are fine though. I have them making two in my own larger work (not posted yet, working title "If Mine Eye Offend Thee..."), one by Celestia, and one by both of them.

Yep its official. MLP:FiM has been protraid in just about every way possible. Deafening to kiling loud screams over sock shaped foods. Isn't Celestia supposed to be afraid of spiders?

Lol the silliness coupled with Epicness and clever writing that was both cute and awesome. Would it be wrong to say I'd want to see an episode of the show like this? Since it kinda reminds me of that one episode of Sam n Max where they tried to get the guy to try the MCGuffins, chasing him pretty much cross country to get him to eat one.
