The time has come for little Princess Celestia to get her cutie mark. One early morning on the edge of the shore with her friend, Accord, the Keeper of Harmony, she waits until the sun is hers to rise. She must gather up the strength and confidence to raise the sun which of course is no easy task. But can she raise the sun and earn her cutie mark too?

Meanwhile, Accord is having struggles of his own...
