I refuse to believe that a civilization of absolutely awful ponies would be able to maintain ponyland in a beautiful enough state for Hasbro to even bother interdimensionally shitting over. They live on a death world full of catastrophic weather and gigantic super predators. You don't survive that if you're wasting your time killing each other over petty mafia/office politics. The power of friendship will hold strong and true, or else the things from beyond will tear you all to shreds!

But seriously no, death world. It makes even less sense that the Hydra is a chain smoker working over by the gas station, than that ponies aren't awesome.
