When Twilight Sparkle and her friends meet dimensionally displaced colt versions of themselves, both groups find themselves in a situation they never expected: falling in love with their other selves.

The idea is good, not sure wether it is original but that doesnt matter. All you need is to improve on the detail level, add several small details to the description of the scenery or the weather, it gives a story a deeper sense of reality, also, you should plan on giving some background on how they met their counterparts and how they fell in love, it wouldnt hurt to take each couple and dedicate a chapter to how they interact with each other, other than that, the grammar is very good, sentences are placed together in a very good way, if you could make longer chapters this story would definetly make it to my favorites, for now though, i shall give a like and keep my eye on it. Have a good one! 
Okay... this is freaky. This is a kind of weird incest thing really, isn't it? I mean, their colt-selves are basically fraternal twin brothers, "the sperm that never made it", aren't they? Add onto that the possible magical consequences (matter meets antimatter anyone?) That's probably why Celestia has gone rushing off for advice.
I think you just nailed the reason why this seems to be the most controversial thing I've written, bar some of earlier stories. 
This whole self shipping thing with the colt mane 6 has been around for a while, and I have some reservations about it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this is very much reliant on the MST3K mantra: 'it's just a story, so don't take it too seriously.'
And if you could send me a link to such a story, it would be much appreciated. For research of course.

Ok it is, but for a different reason.
With pinkamena and pinkie, you can at least say they have differing personalities, and would influence their respective lives with their differences, but with R63XCanon, there is no difference. You are in love with someone exactly like you, every memory you've had, they have too. You'll never disagree, sure, but its boring. They are you, and that means marriage will never change you. You'll always be the same, because you'll not have to adjust your life to their own, no emotional growth, nothing. It leads to a stagnant pairing between two ponies exactly the same. And even pairings between two very similar ponies, they still have their own lives, their own cutie marks, talents. Its not interesting, or healthy. You would be exactly the same as the day you met, 60 years in the future. Do you really think thats healthy?
Even if you have blitzxdash, where they disagree often, that is only a temporary problem, they still will eventually end up in the same spot, eventually realizing they are the same, and then settle down to have genetically identical children who look exactly like their parents, if not the other route.

Also, from a literary and not pseudo philisophical (Not sure if that ramble counts as philisophical), it seems really rushed.
Pretty much. It baffles me why Blitz X Dash is such a huge pairing, but best to go with what you know. I hate SoarinDash unless it's played completely for laughs, but I don't hate the people who ship it. I just don't understand them.
And yeah, the story is incredibly rushed. I've been having trouble focusing on writing lately.
In fact, this first part of this video pretty much illustrates how I feel about how many people like this story. (Thanks for dealing with this dumb experiment btw)

It really doesn't matter. I've been backlashing against this story since about a week after posting it. It was just a dumb idea and I can't believe it even got this far.
I guess I could have shifted gears and used this for universe building when it comes to that thing I've been hinting at in The 63 files, but that would mean actually updating this story. Sorry.
