Karl is a simple man, put off by the thought of anything outside of his comfort zone. For him, a cup of tea at home easily defeat a day of exploration and discovery. So when a routine trip from the corner-shop goes wrong, he is visibly (and so very audibly) displeased. All he wants is to get his biscuits and leave...

A one-shot for funzies. If you somehow haven't already, go watch Karl be himself in any situation and try not to die of laughter. Here's some examples. Teen for minor swearing.

I wonder how Ricky would take it? He'd probably get himself turned to stone in 10 minutes

Next episode of the Ricky Gervais show:

"So, like, I've just been having a thought. Maybe - animals - they're -they've all got these powers, right? And we don't let them use them."

    "How's that, Karl? How don't we -"

    "Just a th - We -"

"How don't we let them use their - their special powers?"

"Well, we basically torture 'em, don't we?"

    "I don't -"

"We keep 'em under our control 'cause that's the way it's been for a while, but maybe they can, like, talk or fly or turn things colours or something."

    "... Karl."

    Excellent. Liked/faved.

You absolutely nailed Mr Pilkington in this. I wonder what he'd make of people writing MLP crossover fictions starring him? :pinkiehappy:

I love you for posting this. I fucking died, although most of jokes make zero sense unless you know about Karl. I felt he was in character, and I could see this being a story he would tell. Travels into another dimension and just shrugs it off, simply wanting his biscuits and tea so he can sit and watch tele with Suzanne.

I'll be honest, I fave'd this the moment I saw it.

As for the story itself. It had it's brilliant moments, most of which were at the beginning.

Karl was a little out of character though, because he's not really rude about stuff. He's usually polite and doesn't say awkward things unless he's in front of a camera or talking to Ricky.

I'll keep it in fave because it's Karl, but it just didn't come off as perfectly natural to me.

    >>1500360 I totally understand, but I tried not to make him as much rude as just... oblivious... to some of the things he was actually saying. I'm not sure, Karl is an odd character in an even odder situation, I doubt a team of psychologists could properly peel his orange. Thanks for the feedback!
