Boy, how right I was.
The prose, the elegant simplicity, the mellow and moving tone that keeps the story going to its end was all great. I'm envious of your writing style. Really I am.
Hats off to you, Fistful. You have DEFINITELY earned my like, favorite, and watch.
First off, Fistful, AppleMac is one of those ships where I cringe, tilt my head, and say, "Ohh...fine. I'm not into the ship, but I won't knock anyone that enjoys it."
Secondly, you made it plausible, which makes my head spin.
Thirdly, you made it a good read, despite my first point.
I still feel iffy on the concept of AppleMac, but it was a great read, and it deserves my upvote, and (again, despite my reservations for the ship) my fave.
One thing, though: At one point, you missed the 'L' on Bloom. I saw 'Apple Boom'. Might want to check that.
Could have been better, what with the telling and the punchline being a bit too long, but it's still very good.
It's good to know that good oldfic exists.

Probably a good idea, except I'd have to put the word "normal" in there since that's kind of the theme. I do like minimalism!
I had serious concerns as soon as I realized this story was an Applejack/Big Mac pairing, but i was pleasantly surprised. Very well written, good at drawing out emotion. As crazy as it sounds, it makes sense too (as far as why AJ would go after Mac). Superbly done.
It probably also helps a lot that it's a Teen-rated story and not Mature... let's you avoid the problems of the physical aspects of the relationship (outside of nuzzling/brief kissing)

Statuatory rape may or may not apply, although from what I can tell they haven't gotten to that point in the relationship in regards to the story. And as a last note upon this comment, the point of fiction is to live out fantasies, whether they have the ability to come to fruition or not.

You stayed focused on the emotional aspects without clopping it, and you gave AJ legitimate, honest emotion here. You also did a nice job into delving into the societal aspects that I imagine such relationships have.
