Here we are looking at Shining Armor, nice pony but things are off. It shouldn't take others seconds to remember who he is, not the least of which is his own sister. Something is odd about this almost like something created him and placed him here and reality is trying to play catch-up.

Shining Armor's placement into MLP:FIM was clumsy. From the audience point of view, where did he come from? He is Twilight's B.B.B.F.F, love interest to Cadence (unknown alicorn) and captain of Celestia's guard. We never heard of him before? Clumsy way to write Shining Armor in. Doesn't happen in our world, right? Our lives have clear cause and effect, right?
Paleb05 stated it best: something is off about how reality (in this story) is treating Shining Armor.
Part of me understands that an evolving "conscience" universe is not a new idea and best left to beings who are more than me. This is a fictional story written by someone else and I don't know everything. I could be wrong about Shining Armor's orgins. Part of me also understands that universe does not know everything. Like me, it is not perfect and like me it evolves to survive. I don't see how you can evolve if you know everything.
