Good story. As stated before, Luna came out a bit too perfect in the begining, but it was just establishing her traits. Silly me.
Issues: Not many. Grammer is fine, Spelling is fine. No complaints from me here. It flowed well, and while this review might seem a little late, good job!

For something rattled out without stopping in a short time, this is very good.
Sure there are holes, but only if you think about it too hard- and why would you want to? It's a fun little romp.

I liked the story, even if Luna's dialogue seemed out of character for me. Would've been cool for a "Luna got her groove back" side to the story maybe, to explain the lack of outmoded speech and tendency to use the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE!

Well this was writen a really really really long time before S2. Back then if you said something about Luna it goes untill she is cannonized.

In terms of technical writing skill (on the paragraph level and lower), you're pretty decent. Nothing especial, but I have almost NEVER come across anyone -- not just in fanfic, but actual published stuff -- whose technical writing skill goes better than "decent". It suffices to carry the story; it does what it's needed to, the nails and screws for a piece of furniture.
In terms of characterization and plotting out the story, my initial reaction is 6/10; not bad, but not great either. However, that's probably influenced by that I'm comparing your Luna to the Luna later revealed in canon, and they're pretty much different characters with the same history. I can totally see Pinkie Pie behaving like that though, and the cooking mistakes made me grin.
In terms of overall impression and emotional reaction, 8/10. It was a HAPPY story! It didn't leave me grinning so hard that my face hurts (which would get it a 9/10), and I reserve my "perfect" ratings for ideals which can't be fully expressed in this world, but it had its purpose and fulfilled it nicely.
Wow! This was wonderful! It reminded me of the set of pictures that livingmachine did of Luna hanging out with the Mane 6. Well done!
