The sequel was a good idea, it's always annoying to have scroll down x chapter for the next story (not talking about you Old new Luna is only 22chapters).

Somehow i don't think that this bodes well. Celestia overworked and lonely, and Luna kept the looks of the weakened form.

Is it the Earth element they need to find or the Wind?  You list that they already have Fire, Water, and Earth and then mention they need to find the final one and said it was Earth.

Sorry to anyone that wanted that but in my personal headcanon, alicorns and unicorns are two seperate races and while the interracial relationships are allowed, you can't change your race.

I'm guessing Luna looks different because right now she's not whole. Nightmare Moon is a part of her, a part that has separated from her and that separation is the cause of the difference in appearance.

I just read the first chapter of this sequel and it seams to be really good so far

And i cant wait for the next chapter i also wonder how they are going the solve the whole Mortal / Immortal thing.

As that could bring up some problems later on who knows.

They might stumble across some thing when the resume there search for the last elemental magic piece.

Nice chapter. I think this will be good for both Twilight and Spike. This way they will learn how to live without each other and then cherish each other all the more when they meet back up again. Question, what will Luna's appearance look like? Season 1, season 2 or something in between?

I just want to point out a slight grammar mistake.

It should be "How to tell your filly that their pet has died."

I kinda expected better out of the rest of the main 6, especially Pinkie.

Luna getting her power back is a reason for a party (and Pinkie will use any reason to party) not loose her hair poof. unless she has a secret crush on Twily we dont know about yet ...

I'm almost tempted to recommend the 'sad' tag just for this chapter alone.  Even if the rest isn't sad.  Right about where Dash insults/accuses Luna is where it starts...  Then it's a non-stop feel beat-down, until the end of the chapter.

On a happier note, i like the way you handled Spike, there was sound reasoning for Spike to stay.

One suggestion:

be fine, you go attend to ya mare.

I think 'ya' might be better off as 'yer'.  When read aloud, it sounds like applejack has a jamaican accent, at least to me.  At first i read 'mare' as 'mare, maan' just because of how that read, because of the accent.  Then again i'm self-admittedly crazy, so what do i know?
