Special thanks to NaturalGlitch, Honey Mead for steering this here young and foolish author in the right direction. And of course, to WhatTheMoo for extensive editing (seriously, if you saw some before-and-afters of my drafts, you'd think he was God himself). I hope you enjoy it!

This is very good. I am going to have to favorite this, and I rarely favorite a story.

I stumbled across this tale rather late, but I'm glad I found it: it has the makings of an old-style classic Western, without so much of the old ethnic-stereotype boilerplate that kept getting in the way.

Hands...I believe you mean hooves.

1285891 Thank you, thank you. That was part of a last minute edit that didn't get proofread... My bad.

Um. I like this story so far n' all, but I was lead here under false pretenses.

My notification/blog thing has listed this... "Wildfire added to M/M Shipping in folder Caramel x Big Macintosh"

And so far i see nethier M/M shipping or even caramel and big mac. Was this a mistake, or just some forshadowing into how this story will progress? I am a mite confused.

1286891 That was a mistake, please accept my most humble apologies. I have another Caramac fic which I meant to add instead. I'm pretty sure I've removed this one from that group and added the correct one, can you confirm that for me?

Anyways, again, awfully sorry about that - mistakes happen.

Don't you worry your pretty little head. It's kewl. I checked the folders and everything is where it should be now.
But now i am also also intrigued with wildfire. Gonna start following that. So it's really a win-win.

Thank you.

In all the ways a person can be thanked.

I can always appreciate stories that allude to the real world. It shows that you have a true passion for high-quality writing. I look forward to reading the next chapter.

1295404 In what way have I alluded to the real world here? I'm a little confused. But thanks anyways. :twilightblush:

This story is great so far, I like how you used Lakota language in this.
