I don't know if you've been reading the blog posts but I had an idea for this story which evolved into something of an epic. I'm going to put that on hold and restore the one week deadline so I can get some more short, cute Rainbow/Scoots stories in this little compilation!

Especially the first half was hilarious.
I really like your version of Derpy/Ditzy Doo. I'm a fan of Ditzy Doo as a deeper character ("Shipping and Handling", for example), and it usually really bothers me if someone writes her as nothing but a clumsy, muffin-obsessed ditz. However, it seems you have found that little spot where you do just that and make it work. The Derpy in this chapter makes me smile, and in the end that's really all I expect from a well-written Derpy/Ditzy Doo.

I haven't read a lot of Derpy/Ditzy myself - rarely as more than a side character with a small part (very much like in this chapter) - but I must say she's always succeeded in making me smile when I do read about her. I personally see her as very clumsy and a complete airhead, the former of which is a trait I share, while the latter is one I very much admire
I know what you mean about usually being bothered by that particular portrayal though - I suppose some people prefer to write her as a shallow, joke character or some such. I much prefer my version, and I'm glad you did too!
