Silver Halo has always felt out of place.

For as long as the young pegasus can remember, she's lived with her adoptive parents Candy Cane and Snow Day, jolly earth ponies with a zest for life. Unfortunately for her, living with earth ponies means she has seen very little of a pegasus's one great trait, flight.

So, when her parents enroll her in the once-prestigious Weather Ace acedemy, Silver is thrilled. She's finally going to learn to fly.

But, when she arrives, she quickly learns that she's going to have to work hard if she's going to make it. And if she's going to make it, she'll need help from her new friends, Willow Mist, Yellowjacket, and Blue Skies.

Little does she know, the minute she stepped hoof in the academy, her life changed forever.
